So yesterday we drove down to Launceston in Cornwall about a 45 mins drive. Coming off the back of a big win last week we knew we should play well and probably win. Well everything seemed a bit weird even in the warm up. Hard to put a finger on it. We started ok and we should have had a goal bur the ref said it didn't go in even though the side netting moved. Southgate were hitting on the counter attack and they scored a decent shot I got fingers too but couldn't keep out. Anyway heads up and I received the ball back before I looked up and hit the ball forgetting my striker who scored with a lovely finish. We all thought right we have scored now so we can keep pushing on. Unfortunately we still weren't at the races and we lost the ball from our throw in and didn't close a player down who looped a shot over me in to the far corner. Again I got fingers tips too it but not enough. Half time and we were down 2-1 Here came the team talk and we got woken up let's just say that. Coaches were brilliant in making us realise that we were better. Second half we were first to every ball winning the ball back high and recycling the ball well. I was regularly recieving the ball back so I could switch play or hit the ball forward. My kicks started off 2 more goals and we were playing some great football. Me were almost playing against another player as turns out the ref was parts of their club. Which explains some of the decisions. Phantom free kicks and even questioning our linesman. At 4-2 I made a massive save that stopped any sniff of a comeback We went in to win 6-2 Meaning we have played 4 and won 4 with 2 clean sheets along the way. Big game next weekend against 2nd in the league. Now they haven't yet played any tip teams so we aren't sure what they are like. But we have to start well and be sharp from the off. I got coaches player of the match for my game management and disruption.

Well done! Nothing like the feeling of help score goals as well as saving them! Theo set up on of his teams goal yesterday and he loved that!
First win in what feels like a long time!
Theo’s Under 10’s team for their first win yesterday in what felt like a very long time! They are defensively sound, Theo is a good goalkeeper and the three boys who play the 2 defensive positions in front of him are very strong, but scoring goals has been their Achilles heel! The coach’s changed it up in the second half when they were 1-0 down (Theo conceded a worldly from outside the box that had so much curl on it even the parents on the sideline though it was going wide!) and put one of the defenders up front. He wasn’t afraid to shoot from anywhere and managed to bag himself a hat trick! Theo set up one of the goals with a big kick so he was happy he played his part in helping the team! The boys came off bouncing, which was lovely to see! Hopefully the start of many more wins!!
Weekend Results
Bit of a mixed bag last weekend. Theo’s Saturday under 10’s team lost 2-0 in what was a tight game against a well matched team. Frustratingly for Theo, he did his bit with a string of good saves but his team are having a real struggle scoring at the moment so the results aren’t telling the full story as they are all putting the effort in, it just doesn’t seem to fall their way. Sunday was a 2-2 draw for his under 11’s team against a very physical team who liked to get hands on. His coach even felt the need to ask the ref to keep an eye on the pushing and the hands on from both teams and he usually doesn’t speak to the ref unless absolutely necessary. It was a really good team effort though and the boys all came off feeling pleased with the effort they’d put in as well as getting a point.
Looking for recommendations
To anyone that has tried the new line of j4k gloves. I am looking for recommendations. There are so many good looking gloves that have been recently released. But if like reviews for the glove you have to help me make a decision on what gloves to buy next. Thanks

Theo loves his Vipers. They seem to be more durable than other gloves we’ve had before too as the palms and finger ends are still in good condition
Early start and new challenge
So I have been asked to sign for an under 13s side who play 11 aside at u14s. Today I am playing in a friendly for them. Will be my first time playing 11 aside. Excited for a new challenge
