To every parent raising a goalkeeper… you know this one hits different. ❤️⚽️ Your kid chose one of the toughest positions on the field. The position where mistakes get noticed immediately. Where one goal can feel personal. Where people remember the one that got past them… and sometimes forget the five saves they made before it. And then somehow, after a bad play, a hard game, or a goal they wish they could have back, they have to stand up, pull those gloves on again, and be ready for the very next shot. That takes courage. That takes confidence. That takes a level of resilience most people don’t see from the sidelines. And as a parent, you feel every damn bit of it with them. The wins. The saves. The mistakes. The tears. The pressure. The moments they doubt themselves. And the moments they surprise even themselves. So no, we’re not just raising goalkeepers. We’re raising kids who are learning how to stand back up when something hurts, trust themselves under pressure, and keep going when everyone is watching. And THAT is something I’ll be proud of long after the soccer years are over. ❤️🥅

Guys, first of all, I apologise for being slow with the glove competitions lately. Members who have been here a while will know I used to run at least 2 goalkeeper glove competitions every month. Sadly, I stopped because nearly every competition had one or two people trying to abuse it, and if I’m honest, I got cheesed off with it. Also, when someone won gloves, the only thing I asked was for a photo wearing their J4K gloves. This was simply so members could see the competitions were genuine and that I was actually giving away free gloves. Unfortunately, only around 1 in 3 winners sent a photo, even after promising they would. again disheartening how some people are, hence why i stopped. I know the vast majority of this community are genuine, but because people are now joining from all over the world, we are sadly going to get one or two, who are not like the rest of us. HOWEVER... I genuinely want the competitions back. I believe they engage younger goalkeepers, educate them and help them improve. So lets try again. So this is the new weekly competition: (Coming Soon) Upload a VIDEO — not a photo — to your social media. Tag J4K, and then also share the video link inside the new SHARE Discussion Category above. Please make sure you post the link in the SHARE above, because sometimes my team can miss social media tags. Every week, my team will choose the best video based on: - Quality of content - Length of video — around 1 minute is ideal - How clearly J4K goalkeeper gloves or gear are featured or mentioned The winner will receive FREE J4K goalkeeper gloves. IMPORTANT: Once this competition starts, anyone trying to abuse this competition, pester my team to pick them to win or ruin it for genuine goalkeepers will be removed from the competition and the community. Myself and my team simply cannot waste time dealing with this type of poor behaviour anymore. I have been asked to play for a Sunday team. They play up a year and 11 aside. Lots of things to be considered like family and travel. How do those who have two teams find the extra games and training?? How do you balance it all. Looking for advice and guidance
