I was married and my x passed away from cancer in 2016 at 61, 5 months away from collecting ss . I don’t know if he was on disability at the time of his death. We were married for 13 years. Did his ss money just go away into the system because he never made it to collect and if not can I collect under his account instead of mine. I remarried at age 38 and am still married I am now 65 and collecting my own ss
