Booked another call yesterday!
Dials Made: 20 Conversations: 11 Not Interested: 7 Meeting Booked: 1 Here are the overall cold-calling campaign numbers for my client so far: Total dials made: 143 Total conversations: 103 Total not interested: 70 Total meetings booked: 2 A funny objection came yesterday while I was cold calling. Right after I pitched, the prospect asked, "Will it cost me money!?" I wanted to say "Duh! Obviously it’ll cost you money!” But I did not say that. As a cold caller one thing you need to learn is to keep your cool and never say something just to satisfy your ego. Always stick to the script and always be professional. The customer is God.

I cold called 200 HVAC contractors in the US and did not book a single meeting.
I was selling marketing services for a client of mine. Here’s why it did not work: HVAC contractors constantly have more work so the first obvious thing is that they don’t need help with getting more service calls. This niche is like one of those cash cow businesses where people NEED HVAC services all year round. So marketing is not a bottleneck. I think, if someone sells staffing rather than marketing services to HVAC they’d get a lot more traction. Second, a lot of these companies have gatekeepers or a different service line, so you’re not able to connect to a decision maker. The pitch rate is extremely low. Third, when the owner picks up (once in a blue moon) they hang up in the first 10 seconds, as soon as they understand we’re selling marketing services. Also, they are busy doing field work, they don’t have time to talk to someone who is selling them more work/marketing services when they’re already super busy. Now, I’m not saying it is impossible to book calls in this niche. If I would’ve made 1000 calls, I would’ve booked a call. But that’s not an ideal case. If you’re cold calling HVAC contractors, selling marketing services, maybe this is why it is not working.
Back at Square One, need advice
Hey everyone! After selling my first client, he backed out before paying. So now, I'm back to having no clients. What should I do to get clients? What direction should I take my agency in? Is there a niche anyone recommends? I know this is part of having your own business; I just want to get back in the game! Any advice or personal stories would go a long way!

if you really like building automations, just start buildingd things people want and then document your builds on linkedin. do that consistently for 6 months and you'll start getting clients. also start doing cold outreach on the side.
Looking for Jobs...
So me and my co-founder have been doing it for 8 months now and we know we have the skills to do the building aspect better than most because of our technical background but we need to figure out where these jobs can be found.
