Extremely confused
I really want to love this course, but every time I sit down to work through lessons, I don't know what to do. The instructions don't seem clear to me and the more I watch the more confused I get.

@Ry Mac I went through the Getting Started and the Foundation, and I've watched several of those videos many times. It makes sense, yet I still can't do it. I got the ICM Architect skill, and I tried having Claude reorganize my projects into a structure that's consistent with ICM principles and I was hoping that would clarify things for me, but it actually seemed like it made it worse. I think that I probably need to start small, and I'm sure once I get going, it'll be much easier and I'll see things differently. I was trying to follow along with the steps in the courses, and I had started the animation one about 4 weeks ago. I've been distracted with some other projects, so I came back to it, and it seems like maybe the course had changed? I'm not sure, but I was trying to follow the steps, and I just can't seem to get it. It's just steps. I don't understand what I'm doing wrong. There's nothing I can do but laugh, really, and keep trying. I have the learning style of a Roomba.

@Ry Mac Thanks so much! I will check that out and report back.
Hi, everyone
Hey Clief Notes fam! 👋 I'm Damon and I'm stoked to be here. 🙋 A little about me: I'm a civil engineer, I have a law degree, I work in water resources, and I am fascinated with AI. It is the opportunity I have been waiting for. 🎯 My current goal: I need to clean up my projects and workflows so that they follow a system and get better and more consistent results. I want to start a business using the skills I am acquiring, and I need to fill some knowledge gaps. I need to control the chaos and establish order in my operations. 💪 What I'm currently building/working on: - a meal planner and macro tracker that optimizes grocery purchases, reduces waste, keeps to a budget, hits macro goals, and plans with recipes I like. - a personally identifiable information anonymizer for using sensitive data in frontier systems with the ability to restore PII to model results - a personal assistant that connects to my calendar, uses unified thread messaging, etc. Kind of like Siri, but I control my data, and it builds a profile of me. Several more. 🤔 My biggest struggle or question right now: Where to start. I'm sure this is common, but my projects are large and in various folders all over the place on a server, and I'm just not sure where to begin the implementation. I watch the videos, and they make sense. I read the text, and it makes sense. But when I go to implement the things I think I have learned, I'm unsure where to begin, and more than a little terrified I'm going to mess everything up and lose a ton of work. I'm struggling where the rubber meets the road. Let's get it! 🚀
Who's here? Drop your intro.
Tell us three things: 1. What you do (job, industry, student, career-changer, whatever) 2. What brought you to Clief Notes 3. One thing you're trying to figure out right now related to computing or AI I'll respond to every single one. And read each other's intros too because the person who's stuck on the same problem as you might already be in this thread. I'll go first I am Jake, I have been working in tech for 15 Years, building with Generative AI for 3 Years straight now! Excited to teach and learn! That's it. Simple, scannable, gives you data on who's joining and what they need, and keeps the feed clear for content that retains people past week one.

Hi, I'm Damon. I work in water resources in a niche where engineering and law intersect. Hard work creates luck, and I believe successful people are not inherently luckier, but they have developed skills to better recognize opportunity, and they take action. I've seen many opportunities in my life and not been able to take advantage of them, and that has been very frustrating. I swore to myself I would not let another major opportunity pass me by, and the current growing AI industry is that opportunity. It's the first thing that I've encountered that I truly felt I can be successful in because I'm fascinated, fulfilled, and I'm learning so much. I've been building a bunch of different products, and I'm having trouble getting many of them to completion. As my knowledge and skills in AI have increased, my methods and organization have changed drastically. To say that my projects are a scattered mess would probably be an understatement. I've been searching for a system, something that would save me from that chaos, because I'm good at following systems. It's just that there's so much to understand and organize, and I'm struggling to get all the pieces in the right place. When I came across Clief Notes, it just made sense. It's a system, and that's precisely what I've been searching for. Right now, what I'd like to try to figure out is exactly what I'm doing wrong and how I can be more efficient. I know I've learned some really incredible and powerful skills, yet at the same time, I have some very glaring knowledge gaps that are really holding back my progress. If I'm going to start a business, I need to have all of these things ironed out. I'm looking forward to learning and practicing and getting better, and I'm willing to put in the work.

The feed is a terrible index. Clief Notes AI is the librarian for it — not a second Claude, not a folder-builder, not a replacement for a Check-In. Free is three prompts. Total. DMs and the sidebar both count. After that you’re back in the classroom, which is still where the work lives. I wrote the map so you don’t spend shot one on “what can you do?” What’s in it - What this agent is (and what it will never do) - Chromium install, Student portal, same email as Skool - Three Getting Started shots and three Foundation shots you can paste - How to talk to it with the five-part prompt so a sloppy ask isn’t 33% of your budget Do this now 1. Classroom → Getting Started → watch Navigating The Course (2:51) 2. Open How to Access your Clief Notes Agent & Roadmap and install 3. Read the guide: Comprehensive Guide to Clief Notes AI https://www.skool.com/cliefnotes/classroom/c7f102c7?md=144082eaf875446eba04fa1db90fcc90 4. One DM. Then open Foundation 1.1. Check the box. The agent is a map. Your folder is the architecture. If the agent writes the system, you didn’t learn the system. Paste this if you only have one shot left: I just joined as [beginner / daily AI user / developer]. Give me the three-step start, the first Foundation lesson title, and what “done” looks like. Do not invent a custom curriculum. If three shots already feel tight, that’s the product working. Foundation stays free. Paid keeps the librarian on.

I don't understand this post.
Claude is down?
So, I 100% wrote this post. Anyone else experiencing issues or just me?

Status page says yes, but my agent is still working in Claude Code. I just asked it.
