How to use contact
I just got a king of court today, well i play like a bum and lost. The reason i can't win is because i didn't use contact. But i'm always scared to contact other players(i dont know why, although i'm stronger). So do u guys know how and any drills to fix it?

@Logan Hinton if i only have somebody who is shorter and he is worse than me,but he is faster and always try to win me, what 1v1 restrictions for me to improve?
The Art of NEVER Giving Up 🏀
This play probably won’t show up on a “game-winning plays” list. And that’s exactly why it matters. It wasn’t the 4th quarter. It wasn’t a game-saving block. It wasn’t late in the game. It wasn’t even the second half. It was early in the second quarter, with the score still in the single digits. The offensive player had a head start and a wide-open path to the basket. Most players might see the play developing, decide they’re beaten, and let it go. Not Ethan. He hustled back. He never quit on the play. And he made an incredible block off the backboard. But here’s the thing: the block itself isn’t the lesson. The lesson is that Ethan played that way every possession. He sprinted back. He competed. He chased loose balls. He made the extra effort. He refused to assume a play was over. And in a game they ultimately won by 2 points, those little moments matter. One play doesn’t win a basketball game. Games are built possession by possession, through hundreds of decisions, efforts, stops, rebounds, cuts, screens, closeouts and extra efforts. Research on close basketball games consistently points to defensive execution and successful possessions as important differentiators between winning and losing teams. So when you watch this block, don’t just watch the block. Watch the decision to keep running. Because you never know which possession will matter. That’s the art of never giving up. Be like Ethan. Don’t wait for the 4th quarter to start playing like every possession matters. Play like it matters now. 🏀 Trainer: @Logan Hinton, a former 5 year pro across three countries. Train Like a Pro!

WORKOUTS TO INCREASE YOUR VERTICAL 🏀⬆️
Want to jump higher for basketball? Don’t just do more jumps. Build the strength to produce force and the power to produce it quickly. Here’s a simple basketball-focused vertical workout: 🏋️ BACK SQUATS — 3–4 × 4–6 Build lower-body strength so you have more force to put into the floor. 🦵 REVERSE LUNGES — 3 × 6–8/leg Develop single-leg strength and stability that transfer to basketball movements. 📦 BOX JUMPS — 3–4 × 3–5 Train explosive force production while keeping the focus on quality reps and maximal intent. ⬆️ COUNTERMOVEMENT JUMPS — 3 × 4–5 Practice the actual jumping pattern and teach your body to turn the eccentric phase into explosive upward force. 🪢 JUMP ROPE — 3 × 30–60 sec Great for rhythm, ankle stiffness, coordination, and conditioning—but think of it as an accessory, not the main driver of your vertical. 🔥 THE KEY: Your jump training should be high quality, not high fatigue. For explosive exercises, take enough rest between sets to make each rep powerful. Once your jumps start getting noticeably lower or slower, the quality of the training is dropping. Research consistently supports resistance training and plyometrics for improving vertical-jump performance, including in basketball players. Studies also suggest that combining strength and plyometric work can be an effective approach for developing jump performance. (PubMed) And remember: you don’t need ankle weights to jump higher. Progress your strength, jump quality, and explosive ability instead. Train the qualities that make you explosive. Get stronger → produce force faster → jump higher. 🏀🔥 Train progressively and prioritize good technique. If you’re new to loaded lifting or high-impact plyometrics, learn the movements and progress gradually. Trainer: @Logan Hinton, former 5 year pro across three countries. Train Like a Pro!
