Pre season
How is pre season going for everyone. Jordan out every day this week between training and matches. Has got 3 games this weekend after being asked to fill in for the team a year older than him. He just wants to play.

Now the tournaments are over both my boys are training twice a week and playing twice a week , pre season friendlies getting them ready for season to start next week 🤩

Back to training
Today we went back to training. 90 mins long including 30 mins of fitness. My extra running has paid off. Followed by some great drills and a match. I made some awesome saves and even saved 3 penalties. Glad to be back. Game on Saturday against tough opponents.

Looking for recommendations
My son is 7, plays as an under 8s GK . Lives and breaths football as does his older brother . I’m looking for recommendations of anything we possibly don’t have football wise for Christmas . Whether it be things for the garden or for his games etc to help him . Thanks guys

@Emma Dowling my older son is an outfield player and my youngest is a GK so they’re always in the garden practising together , I’m thinking some training equipment maybe ?

Scouting
At what age should kids be looking at getting scouted ? I'm happy for Corey just to enjoy himself but he set on becoming a football player full time

At a young age I’d rather my son just enjoy himself , he played his first season getting knocked down every game by his ‘coaches’ because he didn’t fit in with their little click . He’s just going into a new season with a newly formed team , played 1 friendly and 1 tournament together pre season and won which brought his confidence up massively especially winning the tournament on penalties , opponent coaches and parent commenting on how well he plays as a young keeper . With scouts watching and all I could think was please not today every time they was watching him. I want him to enjoy it before having an academy on his shoulders and of course I will always give him the choice it will never be forced on him .
