Foreign Fraudsters
I post a lot of content primarily photos of work we do on social media. Lately I have increasingly seen images of our warehouses, crating, equipment being used by others. Primarily foreigners trying to get business as brokers or dispatchers etc. This is a post by a dispatcher that I don’t know, using a picture that was taken by me in my warehouse. If they are willing to advertise stealing other people’s photos. I don’t think they will have a problem with stealing your money. #papafreight

Hello community I’m coming to you all asking how do I build a book of business when most if not all brokerages want a active book of business

Looking for Drayage First Brokers
We’re on a mission to help drayage brokers secure freight without cold calling or long hours prospecting. As an ex broker I understand that the industry has it wrong. You shouldn’t have to be good at sales to perform well. There’s sales and there’s operations. Stop combining them because the industry has been doing so.

So rather than brokers/agents developing their skills and learning how to get and retain clients, whats your pitch?
Trying to pivot my career path
Hey guys! I’ve been in the sales world for about 18 years as a Sommelier and Benefit advisor. I enjoy finding new business and developing that relationship. My father and uncles are all truck drivers and have been the majority of my life.I’ve been really curious about freight and with my background and education I’m particularly drawn to international freight. Ive had the chance to hunt around at different brokers and see if anyone is willing to train or what an entry level position would look like, but without an existing book of business no one is really giving me the time of day. I’m currently enrolled in some online courses so I can learn the basics and attempt to make myself less of a risk, but I could use any and all advice from all of you savants currently in the field! Thanks for reading!

Simple: focus on smaller brokers in business 1 to 5 years looking to grow! Maybe start as w2 inside learn the ropes or maybe learn on your own and start as a freight agent if you believe in your sales skills.
On Vacation?
On vacation? No problem! This is one of the best things about running a freight brokerage. The equipment needed is so minimal you can bring your business anywhere! This is so important as until you are able to hire employees to handle your business while you are away any missed call can be an open door for your competitor!
