😍 P4P Training: “A lunch break with room to breathe”
A couple days ago, @Jenn Roth shared a lovely invitation to her free Sacred Pause retreat and gave me permission to use it as our next Posting for Profit example! An hour with Jesus. Scripture, guided prayer and reflective journaling. And this little detail… “No need to turn on your camera.” For a woman who has been answering questions, making decisions and showing up for everyone else all morning, those words could be the reason she registers. She can come without getting camera-ready. Jenn’s post gives us a great starting point for Desire. It invites someone to experience her work through a free offer. Let’s look at how we could make that invitation even stronger and build the other phases around it. What could bring this Desire Post to life? Scripture, prayer and journaling tell us what happens during the retreat. The next question is what makes Jenn’s way different. Does she have a particular way of guiding reflection? A rhythm she follows? A kind of question that helps something click? That’s what we want to spotlight. We only know what Jenn shared in this post, so these examples are starting points for her to refine. We’ll lean into one detail we do know, the invitation to attend with the camera off. That may not be exclusive to her retreat, but we can show why it matters. Jenn could make the post more distinctive by adding something specific about her own approach. Her October gathering has now passed, so the examples below use placeholders for a future invitation. The paid offer example is hypothetical too. 👀 Attention Post The job is to stop the scroll and open a conversation. A strong opinion, surprising question or familiar frustration can make someone pause. Here’s an example. When did lunch become another working hour? The sandwich sits beside the keyboard. One bite. Three emails. Another bite. A message marked urgent.

Thanks, @Lisa Vanderveen! I haven't posted too much yet because I'm still not certain I'm doing it right but I'm glad I posted about the retreat so it led to you breaking this down a little further. I looked through this post and wanted to clarify -- do our posts need to be in order (Attention, Interest, Desire, Action) or can they be out of order (since this was actually a Desire post)?
🌿 Enjoy a Lunch Break Retreat Tomorrow
For the last several years, I’ve had the joy of hosting a monthly 𝘚𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘗𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 — an hour long online mini-retreat. It's a place to step away from the noise and spend intentional time with Jesus through Scripture, guided prayer, and reflective journaling. 𝘚𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘗𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 has become one of my favorite gatherings! Our October retreat is 𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄 and it also happens to be our final 𝘚𝘢𝘤𝘳𝘦𝘥 𝘗𝘢𝘶𝘴𝘦 of 2026. There’s no cost to attend (and no need to turn on your camera), but registration is required. I’d love to have you with us on Thursday, October 1 at 12PM CT. Join us and enjoy a retreat on your lunch break (or dinner for my friends across the pond!). 🌿 Sign up here: https://jennroth.co/sacred-pause/

Hi @Lisa Vanderveen! Yes, I would love to see posts as P4P examples because I was a little confused and unsure if it was the right category. Thank you for switching!

@Nicki Palmer Hello Hello!! ✨
✨ Hello!
Hey everyone! I'm Jenn and grateful to join this community. ✨ I joined Skool just about a year ago and am so glad that I did! I've met some wonderful people here and made beautiful connections. I host two communities on Skool, one is 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝗼𝘂𝗹 (we're just wrapping up 𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘙𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘭𝘦𝘴𝘴 𝘌𝘭𝘪𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯 𝘰𝘧 𝘏𝘶𝘳𝘳𝘺 by John Mark Comer). The other is a soul care community but it's currently hidden and under construction for a few more weeks. I'm excited about what's on the horizon. Stay tuned! One of the areas I'm most passionate about is rest. God led me down a very unexpected path that changed my radically changed the trajectory of my life. The short version of a very long story is that after years of resting 𝘧𝘳𝘰𝘮 busyness, exhaustion, sickness etc., I finally began to learn to rest 𝘪𝘯 Jesus, and establish regular rhythms of rest (that weren't crash and burn and repeat). I grew to know Jesus in a deeper way, which led me to become a spiritual director and earn a doctorate in spiritual direction and formation. For a kid that barely graduated high school once upon a time, it is a giant testimony of God's goodness and grace. 🙏🏻 I've lived in the DFW area of Texas for 10 years but was born and raised in NYC and my heart is still there. I'm still very much celebrating the Knicks winning the NBA Finals and I've also grown to enjoy Texas sunsets. I enjoy reading, discovering new plant-based and gluten-free recipes, binge watching The Chosen again and again, and soaking up every moment with my beloved senior pup, Samson. I look forward to connecting more and hearing your stories. 😊 Blessings, Jenn

@Nicole Wright The Chosen is amazing. I've so enjoyed the series and it has sparked so many great conversations and thought about Scripture. I praise God for the many divine encounters with Jesus I've had along this journey. The longer part of the story is that I still deal with health issues. I continue to wait and believe for physical healing. The testimony in that is how God has given me the grace and strength to change the pace and rhythms in my life and also return to school with all of these challenges. His grace truly is sufficient. But the greatest gift is how I have come to experience the love and rest Jesus in the midst of it all. 🙏🏻

@David Blumberg Thanks! 🙏🏻
How safe do you feel resting?
One of my favorite beliefs is that we aren't doing any of this alone. We are co-creating all of it. And that means that we don't always have to be ON all the time, in action, or in our thoughts. The thoughts one is harder for me, so I like this reminder.
