Where do I start on this exceptionally hot day when my brain isn't joined to body? Is there anything else I can do to keep that sense of rootedness to core? The heat is playing havoc with my breath control... that possibly links then to maintaining line... Despite heat, I had a good lesson yesterday but it took two months to feel I was moving forwards again after a kidney infection... that's only partly mental blockage - again the problem was breath - not able to expand (because I was still remarkably tender, even after two courses of antibiotics?) - so how to recover after injury?? Not sure that this is clear......
A Question For Singers Around The World 🌍
Hi singers 🌍 Over the past days, singers from different countries have slowly started reconnecting inside the community again. And today, I posted a simple poll inside the group: What do singers struggle with MOST? High notes? Tension? Confidence? Breath support? I would truly love to see what singers around the world are struggling with most right now. Come vote and join the discussion 🌍 So, here you can find the POLL about my question, what you are struggling most right now

Maintaining connection through my whole body - if I’m connected high notes are fine Don’t push, don’t strain - struggle when tired or in rehearsal when conductor repeatedly wants very high passages at full volume over and over…
WHERE Are You Singing From?
One of the most beautiful things about this community is that singers from so many different parts of the world have found their way here 🌍 Over the past months, I’ve already seen singers joining from:Italy, Mexico, Hong Kong, Greece, Ireland, France, the USA, Canada, Austria, Germany and many more. So today I would simply love to ask: 👇 Where are YOU from?

From Cambridge UK (currently very hot) looking forward to a Saturday I’m not singing - but don’t worry twice on Sunday, once liturgically, and a choral concert - soloist in Mozart Spatzenmass and Buxtehude Magnificat
