Let’s celebrate some wins today!! what’s something big or small that you’re celebrating this week??

My win is that I’ve made it up to a 7 mile long run this past weekend! I was definitely feeling it in my hip for a few days afterwards, but I’m getting closer and closer to being ready to do my half marathon at the end of September. 😊
Marathon Week!
It is officially marathon week for @Dom OBrien before the TCS Sydney Marathon! 🎉 I bet you’re busy prepping, tapering, and likely traveling, so please let us know how we can support you in the days leading up to your first marathon! We are all rooting for you and so excited for you to tackle this!!
Friday Question! 👟
If you were able to receive ONE model of shoe free for the rest of your life, but the trade-off was that you had to use that shoe (and ONLY that shoe) for ALL of your training runs and races, which shoe would you choose?

HANDS DOWN the Brooks Adrenaline GTS 24! That shoe literally feels like it was made for my foot specifically. Why can’t they just make every version of every shoe forever 😂😭
Cramps
Ran a tempo run on the treadmill yesterday and my left leg started cramping and I’m still feeling the discomfort today. Any recommendations?

@Kristine Owen Wood spot on with the recommendations!!
Strength for runners!!
I’ve been getting a lot of questions about incorporating strength into your marathon routine :) I have a few YouTube videos that I follow for at home workouts, I’m happy to share them in the comments!! What are some of your favorite tips for strength training/what are you struggling with right now? 👇

Ooh I love me some strength training! While I do love going to the gym for strength (though it has been a hot minute since that’s happened 🫠), you don’t have to have a gym membership to do it. At home workouts are amazing! If I do strength for several days in a row, I try to target different muscle groups each day so that way they have time to rest and recover in between.
