Saturday movie time: Julie & Julia. one of my favs and it's secretly a movie about building a community. if you haven't seen it, Julie decides to cook all 524 recipes from Julia Child's cookbook in 365 days. and blog about every single one. her first reader was her mom. that's the part i love most. she kept cooking and posting for an audience that didn't exist yet. day 12. day 40. day 90. mostly quiet. but then people started showing up. not because one post blew up. because she'd been there every day when they arrived. that's why consistency matters on Skool. people do stay where someone has clearly been showing up for a while. which brings me to the flame 🔥 yes, there is a lot of discussion about the flame: to flame or not to flame. in the Hackathon i keep nagging you about it: - 10 activities a day on Skool. - a like, a comment, a post, - anything counts. and i know some of you are thinking "what does a little flame have to do with getting 100 members or success on Skool" everything, actually. the flame is your Julie blog. it's proof that YOU ARE TAKING IT SERIOUSLY. because the people who get to 100 members aren't the most talented ones. they're the ones who kept showing up on the boring days. i know that most of you have a job, a family, a life. BUT 10 activities is something you can do on a coffee break. Julie had a day job too, and she still boned a duck at midnight. so while you watch, ask yourself: 1. when does Julie want to quit, and what keeps her going? 2. Julia gets told no on her book. what would you have done at the first no? 3. Julie cooks after work. where's your "after work" slot for your business? 4. if you committed to your community for a full year, not a month, what would you do differently starting Monday? grab popcorn. come back and drop your answer in the comments: what day of your flame are you on? ⬇️ p.s. i changed my plans here to annual only: Premium at $9/ VIP at $90. you must commit or it does not work.
