We wouldn't be who we are if we hadn't also fixed that part aswell. You may have encountered the same bug/issue @Jakolien Sok ran into - the update service didn't work.. So we fixed it BUT here's is a little twist to it - you need to delete your old catknows. folder and download the newest version in order to make it work in the future. Here's exactly what you do now: 1. delete your catknows. folder (or keep it as an ancient relict) 2. head over to https://cat-knows.com/ and download version 0.0.11 (yes it took us that many versions to figure it out)= 3. run catknows. and enjoy The only small hiccup here is that you will start with a fresh database but there were no ways around it in order to make the automated update service run in the future seemingless. Hey everyone, Big news for all Apple users: catknows. now runs on Mac! There's just one small thing to keep in mind – and yes, Apple is being Apple again. 🙈 Since we're currently still going through the notarization process (meaning Apple is officially verifying that catknows. is safe), you'll need to manually mark the app as trusted on first launch. It's easier than it sounds but here's how: Quick setup guide: 1. Head to cat-knows.com, download catknows. and drag the app into a folder of your choice (e.g. your Desktop) 2. Click the app once – macOS will show you a warning 3. Then go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and allow catknows. to open from there 3.5 (Important: click the app first, then go to Settings – in that order!) Apologies for the screenshot being in German – that's on us! 😅 Just to be clear: catknows. has no malware, no spyware – it's purely an analytics tool built for Skoolers. The official Apple certificate has already been applied for, we're just waiting on their end. hey wonderful hooman reading this 🙌🏽 @Marvin Knapp and I are currently still developing the last steps of the catknows. software .. I know you’ve heard that often enough .. ☠️😂! Here’s the current state of the catknows. - technically the software is running .. (there’s always a) BUT .. - The installation process on Windows and Mac are giving us tiny issues left and right - nothing big but still enough ☠️ Until that is fixed and you then finally can download, install and USE IT - we will postpone our next call. Delivering what we initially promised is super close around the corner but we don’t want to tell you yet again that today is not the day.. again. I will keep you updated and I’m looking SOOOOO MUCH forward to our next meeting when it’s time to test!!! Much much love Niklas & Marvin
