@Danielle Drew from Public Speaking - Vocal Power presented in my community yesterday, and it was fantastic, but the bit that stuck with me happened outside the call itself. For the duration of the presentation, she switched her paid community over to free. Anyone who watched could join there and then without hitting a payment wall. Once the call finished, she switched it straight back to paid. I thought that was smart. The moment right after someone's watched you teach for 45 minutes is the moment they're most likely to want more of you, and that's usually the moment a price tag gets in the way. Removing it for a couple of hours means people join on the strength of what they've just seen rather than on a decision they need to sleep on. You end up with members who already know your voice, already trust you, and already have context for what's inside. It also gives you a clean way to measure whether the presentation actually landed. Joins during the window tell you something that a chat full of nice comments doesn't. If you own a paid community and you're running events, this is worth trying. Announce it at the start of the call so people know the window exists, drop the link in the chat, and set a clear cut-off so there's a reason to act rather than bookmark it for later. Then flip it back and welcome the new members in properly. Small change, no cost, and it turns a presentation into an actual entry point. Has anyone else here tried opening their paid community up during a live event, and if so how did it go?
