The Art of Letting Go
Today I want to share a short talk-through on the art of letting go. When we feel overwhelmed, stressed, or weighed down by profound suffering, our instinct is often to tense up and push harder. But letting go isn't about being a pushover or swanning around oblivious to the world; it is a genuine form of strength. Drawing on the Taoist concept of “wu wei” and the idea of not forcing. This practice is an invitation to stop, pause, and let the stirred-up sand settle until everything becomes clear. You don't need to correct your posture, force your breath, or adjust yourself to be "perfect." Your body already knows how to reset. Whether you are lying in semi-supine on your bed or sitting quietly in a chair, give yourself this brief moment to be comfortable in your own skin and trust that your body is listening.

"The Art" of letting go is totally what it is for me. It takes so much practice to just stop and like you say "leave the breath alone and just be with it". I really enjoyed this lesson and have listened to it numerous times after a long day or a busy weekend with my hand on my heart to help me be in the moment rather than letting my brain try and interrupt. I feel so much lighter and brighter after the lesson too. Thank you James, this is definitely something I will continue to practice. 😇

So helpful James. I do use the box breathing technique you've been teaching and that works for me but this is a great alternative, I'll no doubt be able to try it tonight!
