Daily Check-In - Monday 7 September
Day [X] 🔥 Today: [Win/Draw/Loss + Justification] Tomorrow: [A 1% improvement to make tomorrow slightly better] Important: The 1% improvement should be something in your system/process rather than just a task. This is so the gain will ideally forever benefit you. Example: Eliminating one source of distraction will provide a benefit for every subsequent day, whereas doing a physics past paper will only help you in the short term. Also feel free to add additional things to your daily check-ins. For example I like posting my habit tracker here to keep myself accountable, you may want to do the same or to post your daily plans to keep you accountable. Remember, always progress over perfection

🗓️ Weekly plan 7-13 September
Time to sit down and get an idea of what a successful next 7 days would look like. To help feel more in control of your life and like every day you are working towards something larger, a weekly plan is a vital tool. To make sure you are keeping up with your system progression, i want you to divide your weekly plan into two groups: One called "General" which is just your usual weekly plan, and one called "Bloom" which is where you plan what you need to do in order to improve your study system (Follow your progression document as this will give you the tasks that need to be completed) If you are unsure about how to do so, consult the guide i made as well as an exemplar plan that I made (links below) https://www.skool.com/bloom-learning-3643/classroom/39cbaba3?md=0d60a79e2b554a99893bf1f35fc17d8e https://www.skool.com/bloom-learning-3643/weekly-plan-20-27-july?p=020c0a79 No need to overthink this, just simply create a list of the tasks you would like to have ticked off or habits you would have liked to have completed in 7 days time. Make it as specific as possible so that each day when completing your daily plan for the following day, you are able to consult your weekly plan and decide on the tasks you want to tick off that day. Your ultimate goal is to have some metric to compare against at the end of the week to determine if your week was a success.

Day 56 General plan: to make this next week successful I plan to wake up at 5 am besides tmr because I got late start Then after school I plan to just follow my to-do list, can the most progess and work done, including reviewing mistakes from past paper questions and particularly doing english memorisiaton. Plan to finish com mod by tuesday. Also today, although I didn't review anki q decks for bio I sat a mandatory timed past paper exam and ngl that paper was difficult which was really good as it will help me find my gaps once i get my marks back for that paper, for earth managed to retrieve past content and also continually encoded new content = gonna need retrieval for that Bloom plan: - for studying make sure to interleave = reviewing mistakes from past papers, which im currently doing and then I can review new past trial papers, also gonna continue condense my information by reviewing anki flashcards for bio eye content - For retrieval, rather than just typing it, I want to grap a piece of paper and create a mindmap that links everything together = this also applys for knowledge gaps - to prevent distractions = kolbs cycle = usually i have no battery so i end up charging my phone on table which induces distractions, hence if that happens then im going to leave my phone charged in my room which can help with the distraction - after finishing all anki q decks, I want to try doing open book exam = then a day later attempt to do the exam = answers wrong = anki q deck review - Also for reviewing mistakes, ensure to go the doc to fill that gap rather than just looking at the mistake
🗓️ Weekly Review 5 September
I just want everyone to take 10 minutes to truly reflect on the week gone by. Don't just start typing immediately, maybe get up and pace around for a bit to help you deeply think "How did this week truly go, and was there anything else I could have realistically done to make it better?" It would be easy to just say "got some work done, but was a bit distracted so want to work on that for next week" but this isn't training our metacognition skills which we all know is what will allow us to really quickly find the root cause of our issues. A good reflection here will make the weekly plan so much easier tomorrow

Day 56 Overall a good week. Was able to wkae up at 5 am and 6am on friday. This made me realise how much work I was able to do and enable me to do more after school and it also made me sleep early fixing my bad sleep habits. However, wednesday I could not wakeup which is fine cause I can just expect perfection. Also was able to consantly remind myself that I only I can control what I can get in the HSC. Also, although sometimes I would dooscroll, i managed to get off the device and get back to studying and for english, times that I felt not motivated, I made myself disciplied and did the work. Also was able to get early offer for science, followed by 11k gateway scholarship which would be a good backup.

The future of Bloom
hey guys, just wanted to update you on my situation atm with building Bloom. As you are probably aware, there haven't been many new additions to Bloom over the past few weeks and we are in more of a 'maintenance' mode. This is because I have been building out the next level of coaching. As you are aware my vision is to build Bloom into a massive community with thousands of students collaborating to achieve excellence. However as we continue to grow and new students join my focus would gradually be stretched. As a result, I will soon be focusing my attention to a more select number of individualised coaching spots so we can get additional coaches involved who specialise in different domains to provide the best possible quality of coaching. In my pursuit to ensure I don't contribute to the global trend of inequity in education, I will ensure that no matter what, all educational materials and modules will be available to all, as will the community features of Bloom so you can continue to interact and grow together. (I also have some ideas about how to provide an even higher level of access to some of the most dedicated students inside Bloom who are unable to invest in the premium coaching packages that I am super excited about but don't want to talk too much about just yet). I don't have a concrete date on when this new program will launch because I want to make sure I only launch when it is absolutely and completely ready, but in order to stress-test the system, I will be opening up a pilot program for up to 5 students who have already proven themselves to be dedicated learners in the early days of Bloom. This will be a completely free program lasting several weeks and will be a fantastic opportunity to receive dedicated coaching and direction from myself (comment "Interested" if you would like to put your name forward for consideration in this pilot program). Super excited for the future of Bloom and I'm looking forward to having you guys with me every step of the way 💪
