What I'm learning after one week of having my community
I thought opening a community would be mostly about getting people in. But after the first week, I'm realizing it's much more about creating a space people actually want to return to. I'm learning that : - you don't need to fill the space with content for it to feel alive - a simple question can create more connection than a perfect crafted post - people engage at different rhythms, and that's okay And maybe the most importantly, you have to give the community enough room to become itself. I'm still learning obviously. That's probably my biggest takeaway from week one. What's something your ccommunity taught you in its first few weeks that you didn't expect?

🥾 LEVEL UP TO THE RIDGE! 🏔️ Make the most of these last days of summer!
We’ve grown plants. We’ve designed islands. Now we’re hitting the trail! 🌲🥾 Welcome to Level Up to the Ridge — our end-of-summer community challenge. Everyone starts with an empty backpack. 🎒 Drop a backpack emoji (or GIF) 🎒 below in the comments! Then help your fellow community members get ready for the climb by adding: 🥾 Boots — to build a strong foundation 🔦 Flashlight — for clarity on the path ahead ⛺ Tent — a place to regroup and recharge 💧 Water — to fuel their momentum 🪢 Rope — support so they never climb alone See someone on the trail? Reply to their backpack and add something they need for the hike. The more people you support, the more support comes back your way. And remember, every time you level up in the community, you unlock new resources, opportunities and exclusive perks. 🎒 Drop your backpack below and let’s see how many of us can make it to the ridge before summer ends! 🏔️🙌

Can I use the freemium format AND offer a trial for the preimuim tier?
Is it possible to offer a trial for the paid tiers in the fremium format? I know that coupons aren't an option yet... but I want to offer a month of the premium level at an event I am speaking at in September. Any tips? hacks? Work-arounds people have tried that work?

@Brenda Rigney @Jennifer Jayne What about making the offer of Free Premium membership UNTIL a fixed date. So you have a date to work to, to incentivised, check-in, nudge or remove instead of all over the place dates. The sooner they join the longer they have for free !? I think it would make your work load more manageable !?
🛶 Build Your Canoe to Level Up (ALL LEVELS WELCOME) 🛶
Here’s how it works 👇 Step 1: Drop a plant emoji 🛶 or a canoe GIF in the comments Step 2: “Build” 3 other members canoes by replying to their comment with a 🛟 life preserver emoji or GIF Getting likes and replies on your comment helps your plant grow (aka helps you level up) 🌲✨ Alright… go build your canoe and ask your friends to bring a life preserver 🛟 PS - I am specifically tagging some Level 1 members that recently joined 🥰

What would do?
I had a guy join my women’s group (it’s clear on the about page it’s for women) Would you remove him or keep him stay. I don’t want to offend just in case that’s how he identifies. Let me know your thoughts

@Zokai Robinson But if you message to welcome him, then you should let him decide. If you message to have a conversation and find out why he joined, then you discuss if he stays or not !?
