Question of the day
Question -- What's your longest-running client right now — and in one line, why have they stayed? Answer -- For us it's actually multiple clients — several of them have been with us for over 5 years now. When I look at what these clients have in common, it comes down to four things: 1. They're pretty big. They've been able to withstand the ups and downs of different industries and different markets, and they can consistently invest marketing dollars instead of panic-cutting every time things get slow. That stability matters more than people think. 2. They came in with a mindset that this was a partnership, not just a vendor relationship. Performance goes up and down at different times — it always does. When that happened, they didn't just blame us. They understood we were working the problem together. 3. We consistently got them good results — but more importantly, we consistently worked with them on what tweaks needed to be made on both sides. That's the partnership part again. And we kept showing them how our service continued to make them money, not just activity. 4. Here's the honest one: at any given time, we were probably — and still are probably — not their best overall source in a month. But if you look at us over time, we are very, very consistent. And that's because all of our decisions are made off the data. We look at the data and trace it back to the exact ads and campaigns that are actually driving revenue — not just leads. Because of that, they value the consistency we deliver in both volume and quality more than whoever happens to be hot that month. The pattern I keep coming back to: they stayed because we could prove it, not just because we performed. What about you — what's keeping your longest client around?

@Mouldi Nouri 100%, man. Couldn't have said it better.

@Vedant Heda 100%. That's what I teach other marketing owners and even the heads of their marketing department: it has to stop being a marketing decision at a certain point and just be an ROI decision. Marketing is the vehicle to get the ROI
Introduction
- Where are you from? Hello everyone, I'm thrilled to be here! My name is Omar, I'm 19 years old, and I live and study in Denmark. - What immediate help do you need? I’m just starting my GHL SaaS agency journey and I'm currently dialing in my outreach strategy. I’d love to hear from those of you who are already landing clients: 1. What is your most effective outreach channel right now? (Cold calling, emails, personalized Looms, DMs?) 2. What is your preferred way of finding these prospects to outreach to? (Google Maps/search, Facebook groups, reddit and so on?) 3. Did you set a specific daily or weekly target/quota for your outreach, and what was it? 4. If you had to pinpoint the one thing or major shift that actually got your first few clients to say yes, what would it be? Thanks in advance for sharing your wisdom!😀

@Omar Mohammed whats up man! I would say cold calling is always the most effective. Cold email, if you could do it in bulk and you know how to set up domains, is the preferred way. It is dependent on your niche. - Google Maps or any type of Google search is good for small service-based local businesses. - Facebook groups are more for digital businesses. - You have to set a daily limit and make sure that you hit it. - Unwavering commitment to doing the same thing that I know has worked for other people and just not stopping on that

Free Advice - Have an upsell ready
I know that this group is very much about doing database reactivation. We started out with database reactivation, and the biggest thing that we learned is to have the upsell next. Database reactivation is going to happen, but the biggest thing that you can do is make sure that you have something to upsell them to right afterwards so that you can just make more per client. That's the perfect time to get them into some type of continuity offer or upsell on the backend, which is going to get them more clients than that database reactivation did (because it's a one-shot thing every few months to a year).

@Vedant Heda Yeah, you can make database reactivation profitable, but then you're always searching for another customer. If you could find an upsell or continuity offer afterwards, every customer now becomes consistent revenue instead of a one-time big influx of cash. In database reactivation, it's easy to sell.
Prospecting: the one check I run before any local-business list goes near a sequence, and what it found in Wakefield this morning
Database reactivation and missed-call text-back both assume the business already has somewhere for a lead to land. Some don't, and you can find out in one lookup before you write a word of outreach: does the web address the business publishes on its own listing resolve at all? How I run it: bare domain and www checked separately (plenty answer on one and not the other), five public resolvers rather than one (Google, Cloudflare, Quad9, OpenDNS, AdGuard), and a known-live plus a known-dead domain run through the same script in the same second as controls, so a network blip can't pass as a finding. Dead only when all five say NXDOMAIN on both forms. This morning on Wakefield hair and roofing listings: three businesses whose published web address is not registered to anyone, while the directory still prints the link. That row gives you an opener the owner can check for himself in ten seconds, and a first sale (a page and a form) that a sub-account covers before the automation is even mentioned. I built the check into LeadDrive (mine, launched last Monday): pick a town and a trade, it pulls the businesses and checks the web address, contact form, phone and reviews for each, so the dead ones and the gaps are visible in the list. Free account at leaddrive.uk, 150 credits, no card. If it earns a place in your week, Starter is 49 pounds a month for 1,000 credits and FOUNDER50 halves that for the first twelve months. If you already screen lists some other way before they hit GHL, I'd like to hear what you check first.

@Alex Crisp good value!
Alex, 19, UK - from the intro template: where I'm from, what I'm working on, what help I need
Where I'm from: the UK. Solo founder, 19. What I'm working on: LeadDrive, launched 1 September. You pick a town and a trade, it pulls the local businesses and checks each one before the first call - does the published web address resolve, is there a contact form, is a phone number listed, how many reviews - and gives you the list with the faults and gaps marked, so an agency's outreach can open on a real problem rather than a guessed one. This morning's run: three hair and roofing businesses in Wakefield whose published web address does not resolve on any of five public resolvers. What immediate help I need: how people here go from "this business has a dead site and no form" to a first GHL sub-account sale - do you sell the page first and the automation after, or bundle from the first call? I'll answer anything about the checking side in return.

@Alex Crisp Yeah, think of it in customer journey steps. If it doesn't matter that they have automations until they have a page, then sell the page and split test between selling the first viable thing as low-ticket to an upsell or as a package offer that's like a two-step thing.
