Help Wanted: E-Commerce Copywriter for For Good Profits
Note from Nabeel: READ the post carefully and follow the instructions EXACTLY. If you demonstrate to me you have done neither I will personally message the owner and tell them not to bother with your application. For Good Profits building the copy engine behind 20 to 30 new ecommerce brands every month. Coaches do the strategy. You do the writing. Fast, sharp, and at scale. WHO WE ARE For Good Profits helps purpose-driven ecommerce founders scale to six and seven figures a month, without relying on cookie-cutter agencies. We've worked with thousands of brands, teaching them the exact growth process, tools, and systems we use ourselves. We're now rolling out a done for you offer, where our team executes growth work directly for clients instead of just teaching it. > Learn more: www.forgoodprofits.com > See the DFY offer this role supports: www.forgoodprofits.com/get-started We're scaling our done for you offer to 20 to 30 new ecommerce brands every month. Our coaches handle all the strategic work upfront (offer design, positioning, brand voice) so you get a fully baked brief and can go straight to writing. We need a copywriter or small copywriting team who can turn a clear brief into scroll stopping ad copy, punchy video scripts, and conversion focused website and email copy, at volume, fast, without dropping quality. Open to solo writers or small teams/agencies, as long as the range and turnaround requirements below are covered. What You'll Do - Write ad copy across paid social and other channels for a growing roster of ecommerce brands - Write video scripts for ads, from coach provided briefs - Write website copy (product pages, landing pages, core site copy) - Write email copy (welcome flows, campaigns, abandoned cart, etc) - Execute against a fully defined offer, positioning, and brand voice for each client, no strategy work required - Switch fluidly between wildly different brand voices, from a female hygiene brand one day to a male focused camping brand the next - Turn briefs around quickly and stay in tight feedback loops with coaches until copy is approved

Wish i could make the timezone. Did NYC timzone for 6 months, that wrecked me. Discussion point, thoughts on relocating to get closer to timezones of ideal market and should you work absurd hours to get the exp / cash, or prioritise health? working late really made it hard to write good copy and not spend hours spinning wheels pixel fucking the text trying to make it perfect. alternative point, am i just being weak lol?

@Nabeel Azeez I agree with you! Still planning to apply, Nikhil pointed out location and that reminded me of when i was working that timezone and how brutal it was aha. Appreciate the thoughts, i'll see what they'll entertain. I'm curious Nabeel, do you find that this kind of client will be happy to work on deliverable count instead of hourly, or would they be expecting full time hours and maximise number of briefs returned. Or is that just subject to discussion. I've been in-house for so long, so part of me would judge myself for selling myself short and going in-house full time again instead of giving being a 'freelancer' a real go. Seems like a good role but I'm drawn to what you and matt talk about having a reasonable size of well paid high quality CS clients. What expectations should I have? cause i know a lot of people draw a very hard line on only hiring full time in-house but ideally i wont be back in that spot
Work Experience and Intro - Anyone hiring fractional?
Hi everyone, just wanting to share my experience in case anyone has heard of work ops in the grapevine. I have 2.5 years ecom experience. worked for an agency for 6 months where i was handling accounts 6 - 8 figures per month. Experience ranging between ecom, saas, and edtech. Most exp is ecom supplements. Role prior to agency was 18 months in a startup which was 3 people, 2 founders and myself. In 18 months we did 1.8 mil $USD in the last 6 months after 12 months breakeven. Brands I have worked with: Welleco. Eric Javits. Brilliant.org. 4knines. Coat Defence. Mushroom Compadres. Jaje Health. Vytadose. Baja Beach Co. Products advertised: Greens Powders. Luxury Accessories: Hats & Handbags. STEM Education platform. Car interior dog protective covers. Mushroom powders. Greens gummies. Vitamin Patches, SKUs: B12 Energy, Sleep, Multivitamin, Collagen, NAD+, GLP1 (berberine). Luxury towelling sets. Natural preventative animal products. I’ve also managed a consignment deal for retail activations that netted $15k per week for the period of activation. This was to turn over 20 pallets of stock we received in a 20 ft container we were not able to sell profitable online and became deadstock for months. This was the luxury towelling sets for Baja Beach Co. Worked between Meta, Amazon PPC, and Tiktok shop. Managed all affiliate activation and community management. Handled all contra and paid collaboration arrangements and built all processes. In the startup, I was also responsible for all hi-fidelity media for brand and product launches as a photographer and videographer. I would manage shoots end to end (pre, prod, post). Planning, Casting, Hiring, Location, Equipment and Lighting, Production, DIT, Post Production. In the agency, I was working on AI content for the first 3 months, extremely proficient at creating hyperrealistic AI assets, you can review the following link. This work was for Eric Javits: https://www.youtube.com/@PaidSocialDiary

@Nabeel Azeez I'm using sales navigator on linkedin to find fashion brands for my AI creative strategy offer, but im unsure if i should drop that and just go hard on normal creative strategy. I do agree, i haven't been making new videos for a while, but i may be zigging when i should be zagging with who I'm trying to interact with to pay me money...

Winning ads
I believe it is super helpful to dissect succesfull copy/ads. I know we have swipe file of old ads in classroom HOWEVERRRR i would love to know about *modern* (short form) winners. Because without knowing that these ads have high roas (or whatever success metric you measure), any dissection on why it works or should work is just wild assumption. Only thing on meta that i can do is check if the text has been used more than once and look at how "old" ad is (assuming old = runs for long time = works well). Any fave tools/trackers for that?

in europe on meta ad library you can see impression counts and sort by highest views. good indicator of good distribution. otherwise use platforms like kalodata to rip successful tiktok shop videos, or sites like motion to see performers on other ad accounts. alternative platforms like trendtrack and others exist also. mostly sort by date run, you just have to use common sense / intuition to identify what to copy. everything is a gamble, and sometimes brands leave ads running longer just for awareness or to throw competitors off. but typically days run is good sign , but for specificity, find obvious direct response assets tof / mof, with many days run, then try to find in european countries in meta ad library

@Em Ma for global brands, set filter to any country in europe they may be running. youll have to figure out on your own. i believe this is because of GDPR, while other countries dont enforce this transparency
Private workshop w/ $10MM/yr copywriter Zhihao Huang
Zhihao Huang is a copywriter who made $10,000,000 last year. That's not money he made for clients. It's money he made for himself. And he did it with just a video editor, a customer service assistant, and a handful of affiliates. **On Tuesday, September 30th at 12 pm GMT** Zhihao Huang will deliver a PRIVATE WORKSHOP on the offer that was his first big winner. And through this demo, he will show you what it takes to create and publish your own offers. Zhi started out just like you and I. A freelancer. Then he realized he could just be his own client. He doesn't need to be a dancing monkey on social media. He doesn't need to partner with creators. He doesn't need to build his personal brand (except as a hiring funnel.) Most copywriters who run offers like this will never reveal them publicly except to partners and affiliates. An offer that converts is a closely-guarded trade secret. The only reason why Zhi is willing to demo this offer in Copyskills is because it is not the offer he is running right now, and because he is hiring copywriters. You'll be able to ask him questions about: - Research to come up with your own offers - Creating the products - Writing the sales page / VSL - Running traffic - Delivery and customer service …And much more! This is a RARE opportunity. Do whatever you need to do to show up live. I'm deliberately going to delay posting the replay so the copywriters who show up live will have an advantage over those who don't. This is the “final boss” for all copywriters. Launching your own faceless direct response offers that convert on cold traffic. This workshop is only open to paid members of Copyskills: https://www.getcopyskills.com/manifesto/

@Nabeel Azeez where can i find a recording of this session?

@Nabeel Azeez thansk didn't realise that was a feature
I already search but I still can't understand
Hi Nabeel Azeez, I have already searched on AI and YouTube, but I am still confused about what a creative strategy actually is. AI says it is just a strategy or theory or a plan on how to make your ads great. However, YouTubers explain it as a method of persuasion using videos and images on Meta. Which one is correct? Could you please define it? Thank you

hey brother, creative strategy in the simplest way i can explain is making social selling content. videos or images that look like 'content' native to the platform that paid media is being run on, and then adapting it to the specific product that you are advertising. For example, finding an organic video that talks about sleep issues, and then finding a way to break it down into blocks, rework it, and then plug the product in some way. typically you will work on top of funnel and middle of funnel content as the content needs to blend into the feed as normal content but stand out as something engaging, persuasive and likely to convert. more like 'idea copy' mathew and nabeel talk about
