Hey guys! Just wanted to give you an update on the preseason protocol, I’ve been roading my dogs regularly for the past week building up their stamina and muscle and we’re currently running at about 9 mph for about 40 minutes! Getting them in shape to be chasing birds all fall! Building that muscle that they need. Would love to see anyone else’s updates.

Just got a one year old female pointer was told she has been through a puppy program really don’t know anymore about her got her from my farrier going to see what I can do with her

This is a first for us. My husband has been around GSP's his entire life and has always had one, well four or more. We have always had two in our home and usually they are velcro and the sweetest dogs. None of them have ever tried to nip/bite anyone, but our almost 1 year old tried to with our UPS man that has been around him for the past 6 months at least 2-3 times a week. Do we need to start back at the basics of the course? I want get a head of this and try and correct this behavior, but I want to make sure I am not going to make it worse.

Just wanted to share this here. I picked up the virtual course just around 3 months ago. And it has been amazing. I’ve never trained or had a hunting dog of any sorts before my gsp Cooper. The virtual course has been an absolute life saver. Its step by step guide is so simple to follow and only takes 30 or so minutes a day for most of the training, and it has a solid foundation behind it so if you ever get a hiccup in your training you have something to fall back on. My pups only about 7 1/2 months old and I took him on his first hunt at a preserve and he slammed on point on all 6 birds and held until I got there to flush some were 100 yards away and he still held while I worked my way to him. If I could have shot a little better we’d have 6 birds down lol. But what I’m getting at with this post is if you’re on the fence about getting the course. Get it!! It’s worth its weight in gold. I can’t wait till this fall we gonna get after some wild birds🤙
