Great job.
Jobber
I signed up with jobber yesterday and i think it’s going to be an amazing addition to my toolbox of software. I would recommend them. I told them that i heard about jobber from Austin and they gave me an additional discount on top of their current promos they are running. Thank you @Austin Gray for the recommendation

@Ron Mattson I grilled that salesman with tons of questions and scenarios. He answered every one of them and if he didn’t know he looked it up like has did to get me that discount for hearing Austin tell us about. I think he may have found the discount by searching @Austin Gray company name Bear claw or maybe the ownr ops. Either way it was a pretty good discount and the add ions are a real bonus especially the pipeline (much like go high level that Austin takes about) and receptionist (for call answering and notifying me of a client contact call)
CAT 275xe l2 VS Bobcat T86
I am at a critical point in the starting phase in picking a machine. They are both 205-215k here in north Texas. I’m thinking CAT however i thought i have read on some reviews that it’s cooling package doesn’t perform as well as bobcat. At that price i will have to go used it do monthly rentals for the first few months. Does anyone have any advice for a newb like me.

@Bryan Montmeny i don’t want exact numbers but +/- was the-2 a lot more expensive and what improvements did they make.

@Bryan Montmeny that’sa great deal for you and the machine sounds like a better machine for sure. I talked to my dealer and they have an 86 on their lot. Their pushing me to pull the trigger but i kind of want the -2. I thought they would be making a good deal to get it off their lot but it is not. Yet. He told m me to expect a good increase in price on the -2. Im going to talk to them again in a week or two. I still need my cdl also but that won’t take long. If you have driving experience with a trailer in Texas you can get with a fast pass training facility and it’s only a couple weeks. You just have to get your med card, take the written tests to get your permit and the fast pass facility will go take care of the driving and pre trip inspection that gets a lot of people. They quizzed me pretty good though to make sure i have driven truck and trailer a lot but that’s ok. Their price was 2500 almost half of the 6wk trade school driving program price. How long did they say it would be before the 86-2’s start rolling out.
CDL
I am confused about class A CDL's. I see several options ranging from 8 weeks to something called fast track. Some research says I dont need to take every test, like bus driving, etc. Just looking for some advice from experience as it is so easy to get ripped off and pay for more than I need.

@Billy Malady did you end up going with a cdl school or figure out a way to get your class a without taking a 4wk school

@Michael Dennee after you took the classes through that company did they certify your testing (like at some schools) or did you go to dmv to take your test
FMCA (federal) and Texas DMV TRANSPORT
In regards transport truck/trailer and cdl. I’m getting my cdl and was talking to a friend of mine that teaches there cdl class at the local college. He was telling me that in Texas we are supposed to have an fmca (federal motor carrier association) number and a Texas dmv transport number on our trucks. Even though we are just transporting the skid loader from job to job. Has anyone heard of this in Texas?
