Before You Make a Money Plan, Get Clear
Before you decide you need to spend less, pay off debt, or save more, take a minute to answer: Where do I actually stand with my money? This week, write down these five things: - What comes in each month - What has to go out - What you owe - What you have saved - What big expenses are coming up - Then ask yourself: What is ONE thing on that list that deserves my attention first? That's your starting point. If you want support actually following through, that's what I offer inside Money Made Simple. We work through practical money skills together, but more importantly, you have a place to ask questions, get accountability, and keep going when life gets busy. If money has been sitting on your “I really need to deal with this” list, this is a good week to start. 💚

Do You Actually Know Where Your Money Is Going?
Yesterday, I shared a simple exercise to help you get clear on where you stand financially. The next question is: Where is your money actually going? Tracking your spending isn't about finding things to cut. It's about getting information so you can make better decisions. That's the difference between tracking your spending and simply trying to spend less. These types of habits are what we're working to build in Money Made Simple. We're taking these money skills one step at a time, and you have a community to come back to when you have questions, need accountability, or aren't sure what to tackle next. Want to get clearer about your money? Come join us inside Money Made Simple. 💚

Do You Actually Know Where Your Money Is Going?
What if you don't need more info, but could us some accountability?
Sometimes we already know what we should be doing with our money. ✅ Look at our spending. ✅ Pay attention to the credit card. ✅ Start saving. ✅ Make the plan. ✅ Cancel the subscription. But knowing what to do and actually doing it are two different things. One simple way to make follow-through easier: Tell someone what you're working on. “This week, I'm going to look at my spending from the last 30 days.” Now you've turned a vague intention into something specific, and you've given yourself a little accountability. That's one of the things I've been thinking about as I've been making some changes inside Money Made Simple. I've introduced Money Circle, a WhatsApp thread for members where I check in weekly with money tips, questions, prompts, and accountability. And for VIP members, Money Circle+ provides check-ins from me 5 days a week for more frequent support and guidance. Sometimes we don't need another course or another spreadsheet, we just need someone in our corner asking, “Okay, what's your next step?” Money Made Simple also includes monthly workshops, challenges, Q&A calls, Coffee + Connection, co-working sessions... If you've been looking for a supportive community of women to help you make progress with your money, join us. 🎁 Join by Sunday, October 4, and I'll gift you a free upgrade to the next membership tier!

Ending the Year with Confidence
There's a new masterclass on the calendar - and it's for anyone who deals with $$$
On October 13, VIP member @Jen Sullivan of Money Made SImple is hosting Managing Money = Self-Care. This is what she has to say: You know you should probably deal with your money…but sometimes you just don’t want to. Maybe you’re overwhelmed by where to start, feel guilty about past choices, or managing money just feels like one more thing on your already-too-long to-do list. But we can’t keep ignoring the stress that comes with putting off our finances. I spent years frustrated by money. I felt terribly about my challenges managing income, spending, and saving and stayed in debt much longer than I needed to. I was embarrassed by what I didn’t know, and rather than find help, I struggled alone. Looking back, I didn’t fully recognize the emotional toll it was taking. Once I learned skills to manage my money, my stress level went down, and my confidence grew. Learning how much the benefits impacted me made the effort worth it. In this master class, we’ll talk honestly about the emotions that can come with money and explore how prioritizing your finances can actually be an act of self-care. You’ll learn a simple way to move past the overwhelm, identify what deserves your attention right now, and determine steps for moving forward. No shame. No judgment. Simply putting together a plan to start feeling more confident and in control of your finances. Check the calendar for the exact time.
