You know those times when life gets a bit too busy, there's too much going on, and you can feel your energy starting to drop? Maybe you're feeling unusually tired, getting that first little tickle in your throat, or just not feeling quite yourself. That's when I love to have a cup of tulsi tea, also known as holy basil. Why I love this beautiful herb: • Helps you cope with stress: Tulsi is traditionally used to help the body cope with stress, especially when you've been juggling too many things at once. It makes us feel more resilient. • Supports your body's natural defences: Traditionally used to ease coughs, colds, and bronchitis, and to support immune function. • May help support mood and mental wellbeing: When you're feeling overwhelmed, anxious, can't sleep very well. •Anti-Inflammatory: Just another bonus And the flavour? Depending on the variety, you might notice: - Clove-like and spicy notes, a little like basil with a warm twist. - A subtle sweetness, sometimes with hints of liquorice. - A fresh, slightly peppery taste, especially in Krishna tulsi. - A gentle, mellow flavour that makes it lovely to sip warm on its own. Here are some of my favourite brands: Organic India Planet Organic PS. Tulsi is such an easy herb to blend in with some other herbs like green tea, jasmine, rose, turmeric, ginger etc etc. Your imagination is the limit :) Have you tried tulsi tea before? I'd love to hear!
