I want to use the low, forward, right side AC compressor mount in tandem with the low left side alternator mount and no power steering. Is that as straightforward as is sounds or are the idlers and tension going to be a problem?

I’ll look these up and see how it compares. Thanks for the suggestion and I hope it works like I want it.

@Jared Hill quick thought. Is there a spacing option that gets them both on the same belt? Maybe a balancer that is that much shallower and lets it happen that way.
Need to find a way to lighten this load.
1973 Pontiac Firebird -front Endura bumper (no, I don’t want to get rid of it), and I want the 73 (70-72 were different and lighter). A much lighter bumper beam and nose brackets! The front endura nose of the 1973 Firebird weighs around 60-80lbs, and the brackets that hold it are probably about another 10lbs. This is on the very front of the car, the worst place to have that much weight just sitting. But it is one of my favorite looking bumpers!

Nice car. As Eric said, carbon fibre or the more primitive fiberglass. My 72 Camaro has about twice that hanging off the front. All steel and a dozen brackets. I’d rather have some new suspension under it than put it on a diet right now though.

@Chris Dirkschneider I love that hood-bumper combination on your car. When I was a teen, a husband and wife came thru the gas station I worked at every week in 70 model Firebirds. Hers white, his blue and they were both pristine.
Trailer Fire Update
Finally going to get the engines! A lot of you have been asking about the fire trailer since April. Where is it, what's happening, when are we going to hear something. Alan and Taiton are on the road right now, headed out to bring the engines home. They're in the middle of Oklahoma at the moment & New Mexico is next! We'll keep you posted! Wish them luck.

Bring them home and make them show stoppers again.

@Alan Burdue that was a brutal video of the aftermath. It made me sick to see all that work put thru that.
What is your least favorite part about a build?
Mine is front steering/suspension ESPECIALLY coil springs going back in!

Lucky kid. My daughter drives so much like me I won’t give her one of my older cars until she dials it back a little.
74' 260z lsx swap.
Just got it running a few weeks ago. Big cam built 5.3 with a t56 behind it. Got it from a barn in KS 3 yrs ago after sitting for 20, orginal owner and I have become friends too.

@Jarred Youngblood Wow. With an aluminum block it would be a weight saver. I’m putting a ls3 swapped 280zx with a 5spd now but didn’t weigh it all out. I have a 5.3 swapped zx as a driver as well. They’re wicked fun to drive.
