You can make meals that actually taste good, keep protein high, and still fit your calories without spending an hour cooking. I put together some of my favorite high-protein, lower-calorie recipes with short prep times. 👉 Full recipes + macros here: [LESSON LINK] Which one are you making first?

Vacation Without Going Off Plan — Macros Without Measure
Vacation Without Going Off Plan > Macros Without Measure What’s up team 👊 We’re bringing back a live group Zoom next week. It’s been a minute since we’ve done one of these, so I wanted to make the first one back something that is extremely relevant right now: How to navigate vacation, travel, restaurants, summer weekends, and chaotic schedules without completely going off plan. Because let’s be real… Most people don’t struggle when life is perfectly structured. They struggle when they’re out of their routine. Vacation. Family trips. Weddings. Restaurants. Alcohol. Snacks. No food scale. No normal grocery setup. No perfect schedule. And that’s exactly why we’re covering this. 📅 When: Next Wednesday ⏰ Time: 6 PM PST 📍 Where: Zoom link will be posted here before the call 🎥 Replay: Posted inside the community after On this call, I’m going to show you how to use Macros Without Measure so you can make confident nutrition decisions without needing to track every gram. We’ll cover: ✈️ How to eat on vacation without spiraling 🍽️ How to use hand portions and visual cues 🥩 How to prioritize protein when eating out 🍹 How to handle alcohol, desserts, and higher-calorie meals 🧠 How to avoid the “screw it, I already messed up” mindset ⚖️ How to come back from a trip without guilt, punishment, or overcorrecting This is not about being perfect on vacation. It’s about learning how to stay in control without being rigid. That’s the difference between only making progress when life is easy… And becoming the person who can keep momentum in real life. If you have a vacation, trip, wedding, busy weekend, or summer event coming up, you’re going to want to be on this one. Question before the call: What throws you off most when you’re out of routine? 🍽️ Restaurants 🍹 Alcohol 🍰 Desserts/snacks ✈️ Travel days 🧠 The “screw it” mindset ⚖️ Getting back on track after Drop yours below, and I’ll make sure we spend extra time on the biggest ones live.

I have plans next Wednesday evening but will definitely watch the recording. Travel days throw me off the most when I'm out of routine.

🤹🏼‍♂️FORCE VS. POWER: A valuable lesson in burnout
There was a season where I thought progress came from pressure. If I wasn’t pushing harder, I assumed I was falling behind. So I added more. Every hour of my day was accounted for. But underneath, I was running on fumes. Eventually, I hit the point where I was doing everything right and still felt stuck. Physically drained. Mentally fogged. Emotionally disconnected. That’s when I realized: I wasn’t building momentum. I was gripping. I wasn’t operating from power. I was forcing it. STAGE 1: FORCE. THE ABUNDANT ENERGY OF CONTROL. Force comes from fear. Fear of slowing down, fear of not being enough, fear that stillness means failure. It’s built on willpower and fueled by anxiety. You can muscle your way to results for a while, but eventually, the system breaks under the weight of control. 📝Journal Prompts: → Where in your life are you trying to force progress instead of allowing it? → What’s one area where more control has actually created more chaos? → If you stopped gripping so tightly, what would you risk losing, and what might you gain? STAGE 2: POWER. THE ABUNDANT ENERGY OF ALIGNMENT Power isn’t about effort, it’s about direction. It’s what happens when your habits, relationships, and environment are designed for the outcome you want. It’s quiet confidence, the kind that doesn’t need to prove, it just performs. 🧠 Journal Prompts: → What areas of your life feel aligned right now, where things “click” effortlessly? → How does your environment (physical, digital, social) influence your ability to stay in alignment? → What would your days look like if power, not pressure, was your default? 🧩 STAGE 3: AVOIDANCE — THE DISGUISE OF DISCIPLINE Here’s the truth: sometimes “discipline” is avoidance in disguise. For me, that meant ignoring the parts of my process that actually needed attention — nutrition, recovery, stress..... and pouring all my effort into training, because it was the part that felt safe and familiar. I told myself I was being consistent. But really, I was avoiding the work that would require change.

@Christian Foss I used to think that staying super busy at work at all times was good for me because I literally don't have time to worry about anything else. I think that has been a tactic to avoid anxious thoughts and feelings. I am now trying to pause and sit with feeling my emotions instead of avoiding them.
Self Sabotage
Self-sabotage is often an attempt to stay within our comfort zone or rather, AVOID getting uncomfortable... Its our mind’s way of protecting us from perceived DISCOMFORT or FAILURE. IM HERE TO LET YOU KNOW THAT YOU HAVE TO TAKE IT TO THIS STATE AND YOU HAVE TO FAIL IF YOU EVER WANT TO TRULY GROW, TO EVOLVE, TO TRANSFORM. Lean into it, do not stray away from it. Futhermore, FAILING and BEING A FAILURE are two completely different things. The ONLY time you are ever truly a failure is if you quit and give up on yourself. Failing is an absolute pre requisite of growth, it is the cornerstone of any transformation you have ever seen or experienced yourself. It has to happen in order for us to learn. We humans learn best through experience and practical application. One of the BIGGEST differences between people who ACHIEVE their goals and those who throw their hands up, throw in the towel and QUIT is how they percieve failure and how comfortable they are getting uncomfortable 🗣️EXAMPLE1: Let’s say you’ve noticed yourself skipping workouts even though you’ve committed to them and to yourself. Its easy to chalk this up at surface level as "laziness" but this might really be rooted out of FEAR—fear of not being 'good enough' or of the effort it takes to face a challenge. 🗣️EXAMPLE2: You procrastinating your meal prep knowing by doing so you are making hitting your goals and staying on track way more difficult. You might tell yourself, 'I don’t have time,' but underneath that layer, it could really be resistance to planning ahead because it feels overwhelming or like too much pressure to ‘get it right.’ In reality, this habit might be trying to protect you from the discomfort of failing or feeling restricted. The mind decides it’s easier to just avoid the discomfort altogether. Share in the chat one self-sabotaging habit you’ve noticed recently? Reflect on what it might be trying to protect you from, and then choose a healthier action that aligns with your goals. Let's get uncomfortable TOGETHER, Let's GROW together!!! You go further that way! This goes without saying but here inside of the community, this is a safe place to talk about things like this. Its all confidential.

@Christian Foss One self-sabotaging habit I’ve noticed recently is getting overwhelmed and giving up when I have a long way to go to meet my step goal at the end of the day. I am now trying to fit in more steps throughout the day, such as parking further away, doing laps in my house when I'm on the phone or waiting for something to cook/bake etc.
