Local Partnership Win
Just sold a package to a local QB Training facility. I'm making a movement screen for them, showing their staff how to complete it, and creating all the programming/fixes that will be posted around the facility with my logo on all the visuals. Also planning a collaborative social media launch of the program. Super fun to get involved with the community like this!

Love this! I just ran FMS screenings on all of my baseball players. Interesting correlations between their scores and injury hx. Poor scores = greater hx of shoulder and elbow problems. Who would have seen that coming?!?! 🤷

@Cam Deckett Yes! I just sent out a program for each of the players that addresses their key areas of concerns. Hoping to see some improvement in resilience among our pitching staff. A lot of painful arms last season.
Advice on Standing Orders
Hey yall! I was wondering do I NEED physician standing orders if Id like to focus my work primarily on bodywork /manual therapies ( grastin, cupping with movement, stretch, muscle energy, recovery tools, etc ) . Im extremely passionate about this side of our skillset and want to just take a leap and stop sleeping on myself lol

Having a verbal agreement would be a minimum. The other things to consider is what verbiage you use with patients. I know ATs who are focusing their treatment/exercises goals towards “health and wellness” or “athletic performance” as opposed to injury rehabilitation. Being intentional with how you market your business is everything.
Hey y'all
Hey I'm Tyler, born and raised in Lincoln, NE. Went to UNL then was in East Texas for 4 years as a GA/ full time AT. Moved back to Lincoln now to raise a family and am in my 6th year working at my HS alma mater and am teaching Pilates on the side cause the school salary isn't enough to support a whole family by itself. Which is why I'm working to build an AT business to be able to get out of the school position.

Welcome to the group Tyler!
What are you nerding out in?
I’m interested to see what everyone in the group is nerding out about lately. Is it a rehab thing? A business thing? Super excited to hear what everyone is learning about!

So far a pretty good reduction in pain following the initial treatment. I have primarily used it with biceps tendinitis and patellar tendonitis cases. Worth noting that it can cause bringing, especially around bicep tendon. I have been scanning the tendon to find areas of pain and focusing most of the tx there. The research considers it to be “hyper stimulation analgesia”…basically a form of gate control.

@Cam Deckett yes for sure! The follow up tx can help get back to the same level of relief, but never quite as drastic of an improvement as the first
