Week 4
Insight=holding my breath when moving. I choose breathing deeply and slowing movement down if I tense up and stop breathing. Just awareness is helping me.

bonus training
So many new faces here I genuinely can't keep up! So just wanted to welcome all of you new people!! And because there are so many of you now, I decided to share something I don't usually put outside my 1:1 work. It's a 45 minute training: how to read your own body and decide what to do today, so pain stops limiting what you can do. Inside it: - Why pain is never one thing and what actually feeds it - The loop most people are stuck in and why treating one point on it never works - The four things I check before deciding what to do with my own body on any given day - My own real week walked through as an example, including the parts I got wrong - The questions to ask when pain shows up, instead of "what's wrong with my back" Fair warning: it goes deep. It'll be most useful if you've spent some time with me already and know how I think, because it's the layer underneath everything in our community. But if you're new - watch it anyway. It'll change how you use everything else in here, including the Back Pain Protocol. Do the self-assessment at the end on your own week. Then post what surprised you below :) And if you'd like to take this further, book a consultation call with me here: CLICK HERE Have fun and maybe speak soon!

Yes I did! I actually have gone by the having fun part for many years until this spring when I experienced a major life change ( retirement from clinical work) and also not being in my comfort zone with a major conflict in research with a lot of negative stress ( now resolved after mediation) as well as a completely crazy traveling period which made me skip on of the most ” have fun” part in my life e.g singing ( choirs, private lessons). I lost my life balance which had been stable for many years. Everything you say resonates within me. I am slowly regaining my balance again and I am confident that my body will thank me ( it already does).
Week 3 day 2
Movement 1 and 2 are fine with support with one arm for balance. Movement 3 and 4 still challenging due to lack of force in legs, in particular left leg. Suggestions for adjustment?

I tried standing on both knees for movement 3

Ok, I understand. I will stay on week 3 for a bit longer and see if I improve. Actually swimming in our lake by our summerhouse is completely painfree and also relieves pain.
Week 3 day 1
Difficult to perform lunges and standing on one leg for my left side. Instead of not doing that at all, can I adjust the movements? Right side works for standing on one leg but lunges are difficult for both sides.

Great- much easier to perform with control
Week 3 day 2
The last exercise I managed to hold knees up together but extending one leg at a time is too challenging at present. Any adjustments or ok as I did it?
