🔥 STOP TRYING TO GROW YOUR AUDIENCE ALONE
One of the biggest shifts I made in my business was realizing I didn't have to grow my audience one person at a time. I could get in front of audiences that already exist. That's where collaborations come in. But instead of randomly applying for everything you see, try this: Before saying YES to a collaboration, ask yourself 3 things: 1️⃣ Are MY people in this room? The audience matters more than how big the event is. 2️⃣ Does this help me grow what I actually want to grow? Email list? Visibility? Authority? Relationships? Sales? Different collaborations can do different jobs. 3️⃣ Do I have a clear next step for the people who find me? A great freebie. Your email list. Your community. An offer. Somewhere for that borrowed attention to GO. That's the part people sometimes miss. Getting in the room isn't the strategy by itself. It's: Right room → right people → right next step. And once you get comfortable getting into other people's rooms? You can take it one step further and build the room yourself — host the bundle, summit or collaborative event and bring multiple audiences together around you. So if you need more traffic right now, don't automatically think: “I need to post more.” Ask: “Whose audience should I be getting in front of?” 👀🔥 --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- YOUR TURN 👇 Have you used collaborations to grow your audience yet? If YES — what have you tried? A summit, bundle, podcast, swap, guest training, something else? If NO — what room could you get into next? 👀 Drop it below — and bonus points if you commit to ONE collaboration move you're going to make. 🔥

@Madison Chase OHHH perfect timing then!! 🙌🔥 And honestly, don’t overthink where you point people today. Give them ONE clear next step. I often send people to one of my freebies first so I’m growing my email list ... and then my freebies naturally lead people into my Skool community. 👀 So it doesn’t necessarily have to be “come join my Skool.” Think about the path you want them to take after they hear you today. And YES keep me posted on how the podcast goes!! 💜

@Madison Chase OHHH okay ... then definitely do NOT try to build a freebie today too!! 😂 That is exactly how we turn one podcast interview into 47 things we suddenly think we need to do. Use whatever next step you already HAVE today. Keep it simple. And on the Skool piece... I hear you. 💜 I don't think you need to decide today whether Skool is the right platform for you either. Building a community AND finding your people AND showing up everywhere to try to get them there is A LOT. I would actually simplify before giving up on it. You don't need to be everywhere to grow a Skool community. Pick the audience-growth strategies that make sense for you ... like this podcast you're doing today ... and give people a simple path to stay connected with you. Then give yourself some time to see what happens. You don't need to build everything at once. 💜
What has helped you increase engagement in your Skool community?
I run a paid community for self-publishers. It includes courses, resources and a weekly live coffee chat, but the community feed is still fairly quiet. At the moment, most posts come from me. They receive a few likes and occasional replies, often from the same supportive members. I realise it's still early days, I have around 30 members so it's not a big group yet. I would love the community to become a place where members share their own experiences, ideas and encouragement and not just me posting. Has anyone successfully changed this dynamic in their community?

One thing that has made a HUGE difference for me is giving people something specific to respond to, rather than just posting more content. Conversation threads, challenges, “what are you working on?”, ask-me-anything posts, sharing wins, making decisions together, etc. ... things where members can easily see how they fit into the conversation. I also stopped feeling like I had to be the conversation 😂 If two members start talking to each other in the comments, I let them! THAT is the community piece I want. And honestly, with 30 members I wouldn't worry too much about it feeling quiet yet. I'd pay attention to those few people who ARE engaging and what gets them talking, then do more of that. 👀 I think the goal is less “How do I get more comments on my posts?” and more “How do I get members talking to each other?” 💜 The biggest thing tho .. I don't overthink it LOL

💎 Daily Gems
Your 7-Day Skool Glow-Up
Most people overthink this…It’s not about posting more. It's about showing up better. So I put together a simple 7-Day Flame Plan you can follow in 10–15 mins/day 👇 ✔️ Comment more than you post ✔️ Help people (this is the cheat code) ✔️ Stay consistent for 30 days straight See what habits start to form. And, yes you may need to drop your social media consumption, and do one less reel in an attempt to go viral this week. PS - I'm giving social media a break this summer. I'll be here on Skool.

Already doing this… and YES it makes a difference! 🙌 I’ve been spending way more time actually talking to people + joining conversations instead of feeling like I need to constantly create another post. And honestly, it makes Skool feel a lot more like a community and a lot less like another content platform. 😂💜

Scale for MRR for me! 🙋‍♀️💰 I’ve grown the free community quite a bit, so my focus now is figuring out that sweet spot between continuing to grow + converting more of the right people into Premium. 👀 Definitely my next 3-month experiment! 😂
My first Level 8!!!
@Brenda Rigney talked about the proven effectiveness of gamifying and the value of using leaderboards in our communities. Everyone agreed how exciting it is to see those notifications from skool when you've reached another level. Today I reached the most exciting level yet. I reached level 8 in my community!!!!
