It brought back a memory from when I was learning English. I used to love the song All Star (yes, the one from Shrek 🎵), and the first line goes: “Somebody once told me the world was gonna roll me, I ain’t the sharpest tool in the shed.” That sentence stayed in my head for YEARS because I could never figure out what it actually meant. Then I realized it doesn’t have a perfect translation in Portuguese. It basically means you’re not very smart, but we don’t really have one exact expression that matches it. I KNOW this beginning might be a little difficult for some of you. Because creating a new habit takes time, and the hardest part is that we usually don’t see the results right away… BUT You’re showing up, recording your videos, speaking English… that matters much more than you think I know sometimes you might think: “Is this even doing anything?” 👀😂 YES. IT IS. The first couple of weeks are usually the hardest because you’re still adapting. And that’s exactly why I wanted to make this a 56-day challenge instead of 30 days. Sure, 30 days might sound more appealing. But I truly believe 56 days gives us enough time to build consistency, create a routine, and actually see the transformation. So this is your reminder: KEEP GOING. SHOW UP. STAY COMMITTED TO YOUR ENGLISH. And please remember what I said in my very first video: your video does NOT need to be perfect. It doesn’t need to be beautiful. It doesn’t need to be super edited. It doesn’t need to sound like a native speaker. You just need to SPEAK. The goal right now is to create the habit of speaking English, and guess what? You’re already doing it. 🥹👏 And honestly? I’m LOVING what I’m seeing so far. ❤️ Keep showing up. One day at a time.
