Thanks again for the webinar last night, it was very interesting and super helpful for my daughter and me.
From Prep to Pro is officially on your calendar.
Hey Everyone! Many of you have registered here for From Prep to Pro on Sunday, July 27 at 7:00 PM EST, and we could not be more pumped for this one. You'll be hearing directly from four mentors who've lived the exact path you're on right now: 🇭🇺 Madie — SDHL professional & Team Hungary National Team, founder of ProPath 🇭🇺 Lotti Odnoga — Captain, Team Hungary National Team; NCAA at Dartmouth & St. Thomas before turning pro 🇨🇭 Kaleigh Quennec — 2026 Olympic bronze medalist with Switzerland, now playing for SC Bern 🇺🇸 Gabby Jones — Hockey East captain at UNH, now pro in the SDHL Sneak peek of what we're getting into: - The real (messy, non-linear) story of how each of us actually got recruited - What we wish someone had told us as prep school freshmen - How we handled being cut, injured, or overlooked — because it happened to all of us - What actually matters to college and pro coaches/scouts (vs. what everyone thinks matters) - A live Q&A where you can ask us anything Before the 27th, drop a comment below 👇 with the ONE question you most want a pro to answer about recruiting, prep school, or making the jump to the next level. We'll be pulling questions straight from this thread for the live panel — so the more specific, the better your odds of getting it answered live. See you on the ice (virtually) in a couple weeks. 🥅

As far as camps/showcases go which should girls be focusing on their summers after Freshman year? Sophomore year? Junior year? And which specific camps/showcases do you recommend?
Camps vs. Showcases (AA / AAA / Prep Players)
Short version: Camps = get better (ish) Showcases = get seen Mixing them up wastes time and money. 🏒 Camps (Development) Purpose: Improve your game & network What you get: - Coaching & feedback - Skill reps Key truth: Camps can recruit you, but more so they prepare you. HOWEVER -- they only prepare you if you take the things you learned in the 2-5 days you were there and continue to build & work on them. 🎯 Showcases (Exposure) Purpose: Evaluation & recruiting What you get: - Games, not teaching (usually) - Minimal feedback - Scouts/coaches watching habits, pace, compete Key truth: Showcases don’t develop you — they reveal you. Why This Matters at AA / AAA / Prep - Early on, camps matter more than showcases. Build the foundation first. - Camps can sharpen details. Showcases only help if you already stand out. - Showcases are high‑stakes. Go in prepared or you blend in fast. Smart Progression 1. Camp → learn from coaches you don't have regular access to 2. Off-Season → apply consistently 3. Showcase → get evaluated Skipping step 2 is where most players stall.
