Module 3
This module is where we get to work and put everything into practice. Scott is adamant about not changing your process but, I am making this my process moving forward. Every opportunity will be tracked with this method and every opportunity will be followed by an After Action Report (AAR) regardless of the win or loss.

What’s the toughest influence room?
Hey Leaders. In lesson 1.1 I share my story of facing an elder with a cup of green tea on one side and an AK 47 rifle on his other side. That’s a tough room to enter when you are trying to influence authentically. Thanks to the Churn…that’s not unique to me…Green Beret’s or military folks. It’s universal to influence, sale, and leadership. How about you? What’s the toughest influence room you are facing. Share it in the thread below and let’s get to work!

At this moment. The toughest room we face as a partner, is not the customer, it is the manufacturer we support. Most companies sell to the Ticker Symbol, The upper right hand quadrant and the quota. They do not do the work and therefore not pros. They concentrate on how their shiny thing can fit the need and not ask how they can help. Thjs puts the partner at a disadvantage when brought in after the pre-sales process takes place. My goal is to educate the manufacturers on how we approach this based on the training here. Let;s get aligned to sell more and carry less. Trying to influence billion dollar public companies that their process may be sound but their approach needs to change can put us as a partner at risk of facing the AK and not sharing the green tea.,
Preparation
In Module 2, we go over the preparation of Self, Space and customer. Pre Engagement Preparation is key, not only for your calls, meetings, or presentations, It is the best way to start your day. I take 5 minutes every morning by going outside and do the following steps. 1. Place a foot on a rock, close my eyes and do three 4-4-6-2 breaths 2. Switch feet and repeat three more times. 3. With my eyes still closed, notice the five senses. 4. What do you feel from head to toe? What do you hear furthest to closest, What do you smell, what do you taste. 5. Before opening your eyes and between deep breaths, say to yourself I have time, three times and slower each time. 6. Ask yourself Who Am I, Why am I Here, What do they need from me and what do I bring to the situation? 7. Open my eyes slowly and notice three new things. 8. Out loud, say me me me, mi mi mi, mo mo mo, mu mu mu, ma ma ma 9. Count to 5 out loud to the four corners 10. Shake myself out and quick stretch. This will start your day at zero temperature and you become present to start. Although Scott mentions that PEP before every meeting is the one thing you should do, I think going through the Prep Hot Sheet should be done as well. Preparing your instrument with PEP brings your temperature down but the Hot Sheet helps you prepare the space.
Preparation of Audience and Content
This is where the sales process begins. Pay close attention to this and get it in your bones. Prepare for your audience, research and learn how they need to succeed. If you do not do your homework and start your engagements here, you will fail.... If you don't do this, your competition will.
