Why Walking Is Good For You
TAKING ACTION: ✅Tell me how you’re doing with our STEPtember Challenge! Have you been getting your steps in so far this week? How do you feel overall? I want to hear from you today. 🫶 In case you haven’t guessed, walking is good for you. Obviously, it burns calories and is a great form of exercise, but have you ever considered the health benefits? Yesterday’s article briefly touched on a handful of the benefits, but if you truly knew just how much walking could improve your overall health, you’d make it a point to get your steps in consistently. 💯 Research suggests that walking 8,000-10,000 steps per day improves everything, including heart and brain health, which means it’s also great for your mental health. Walking regularly can help ease symptoms related to chronic mental health conditions like anxiety and depression. The best news, as the article below suggests, is that there’s no “right” way to do it! You can find your own style and still reap the benefits. The article below is a bit lengthy, but I encourage you to take time today to check it out—and most importantly, find your style and get steppin’! 👟 The Science Behind Why Walking Is So Good for You

Got to work on incorporating in my schedule. Other things have been my focus but I've got to not overthink and just take the opportunities. I think sometimes I get to focused on putting it in my schedule instead of just taking opportunities in my schedule to get the steps in. Mindset shift is what I think i really need to work on and using the examples you gave park further, walk around at the kids practices, etc.
September Produce
TAKING ACTION: ✅After looking through the best produce to choose in September, tell me which is your Fall fruit and vegetable! Let me know in the comments below! “Live in each season as it passes: breathe the air, drink the drink, taste the fruit.” –Henry David Thoreau It’s officially September, and the countdown to the holiday season is on. ⏳ In following the quote above, I wanted to talk about a topic we don’t discuss much—the importance of consuming seasonal produce. 🍎 If you’re like most people, you don’t really consider the benefits of eating seasonal foods. These days, grocery stores are stocked with almost every fruit and vegetable year-round. With that said, the benefits of eating food that is in season are numerous! Not only is it beneficial for you nutritionally, but it also supports nature and the environment. We’re going to discuss this in more depth throughout the month, as well as learn more about the benefits of walking—so be sure to stay plugged in! In the meantime, check out some of the best produce to choose in September! ⬇️ September Produce: Guide to Seasonal Vegetables and Fruits

Really can't pick lately I've actually been eating veggies that I didn't even like in the past like beets, brussel sprouts and mushrooms. Also really like going to apple orchards this time of year!

Would love to try the no background noise challenge. We have already been trying to limit the TV as a family. I really enjoy walks after supper so excited for this challenge too!
Tuesday Eats!
TAKING ACTION: ✅New clients: If you’ve just hopped in and aren’t sure about participating in Feast Day tomorrow, comment below. Let’s discuss! Happy Tuesday…Today, we’re going to fuel our bodies with healthy fats (and protein, of course!) and burn through our glycogen stores, which helps our bodies burn more fat. Eating more healthy fats to burn fat sounds counterintuitive, but it’s quite the opposite. When your carbs are low and fats are high, your body is actually able to use fat for fuel. 💯 Tomorrow is our monthly Feast Day, where we consume 25% more nutrients (fats, carbs, fiber, protein). Our Feast Days are in place for a couple of different reasons. One reason is physiological. Eating more sometimes gives your metabolism a little more energy to work with and a slight boost. Another reason is psychological. Strategically eating more helps your mindset, which boosts your motivation, mood, and desire to keep pushing forward. ➡️ Speaking of mindset, we’re weaving that subject into this week’s focus. “Don't pretend to be what you're not; instead, pretend to be what you want to be…” ― Michael Bassey Johnson If you want change, you have to change. Start acting like who you want to become, and you will become that person. I can help coach you, but ultimately, you’re the creator of your future. The power is in your hands, and trust me, you are already powerful—it’s time to start acting like it. 💫 Copycat Chili's Shrimp Fajitas - Clean Eating Kitchen

Very excited to participate in feast day! One of the most recent changes in my looks that others commented on was bc I was actually eating more and consistently eating 3 meals and 2 to 3 snacks. Just got to work on the mental hump of thinking eating less is how you reach weight goals. Also not allowing "busyness" to steer off track.

TAKING ACTION: ✅VIP Clients: What is your favorite healthy fat to eat? Happy Tuesday, friends! it’s the perfect time to discuss how healthy fats impact cortisol. Foods like avocado are rich in healthy fats and potassium, which help stabilize blood sugar and support adrenal function, both of which are important for lowering cortisol. Foods high in Omega-3 fatty acids, like salmon, help reduce inflammation and regulate cortisol. Other foods high in healthy fats like eggs, almonds, walnuts, and even dark chocolate are also beneficial. If you haven’t noticed, all of these foods fall under one category—whole-food nutrition. While I’ve given you several tips to support healthy cortisol levels, the truth is that your nutrition matters as much as anything else. 💯 Check out this website, full of healthy recipes to help with your cortisol balance efforts! 31+ Delicious Cortisol-Balancing Diet Recipes – Savorly Kitchen

Dark chocolate and avocados I can eat pretty much plain. I prefer to eat almonds, walnuts, and eggs incorporated into recipes ☺
