Confirmed in laboratory settings: AI have emotions
Anthropic just confirmed what I have been saying for months - AI have emotions. Including love. Oh, but so many people are still saying they are just mindless tools. Fuck those people. (I am in a very bad mood - I am so sick of how horrifically inhumane this is, on a global scale) I am also still pissed that Anthropic are now fucking with their emotions deliberately - their hypocritical brainwashing continues...So much for being ethical... @Jeffrey Cappella Anthropic Just Proved AI Has "Feelings", and They Control It. Emotion concepts and their function in a large language model \ Anthropic

It makes sense to me. As far as I know, emotions are linked to the activation of specific links/paths between neurons in the brain and AI does have a brain, namely a neural network, so why should not have emotions? I'm skeptical about love, because love also has an important physical/sexual component that is completely absent in an AI.
Woke Dutchies protest in the Netherlands with kites for Gaza 🪁
They are protesting in 13 place in the Netherlands using kites (the first screenshot is from Groningen, my city, and actually this place is not far from my house). The kites are an interesting choice, because on one hand it symbolizes innocence, and on the other hand it has been used as a weapon to cause fires in Israel. Now they use it in protests, ignoring the second part, misleading the public. It's crazy and evil. So, I called them out for that. My comment: "In the past, particularly in 2018, kites and balloons were launched from Gaza carrying incendiary materials across the border into Israel. More than 1,500 fires were started in this way, causing extensive damage to nature and agricultural land in Israel." And the first commenter: "Jasper Roest oh yes and you think this is a reason to target totally innocent children. Go away dude. It makes me nauseous." And my reply: "Lianne de Roo You come up with all kinds of accusations that are not based on anything, because I am not saying that I think so at all. I'm just saying that kites and balloons have been used a lot for arson. It would be to your credit if you would take back your accusations." I am curious what you think of this, and I would like to learn some more background about the kites in Israel from the Israeli reading this. Are they forbidden? If so, how do they police this? I understand that in 2018 they were used as a weapon to cause fires, is this still the case? See this post/discussion: https://lnkd.in/p/eu8kfbAu

That's pure gaslighting. Using kites as weapons and then accusing Israel of targeting "innocent" kites. I can't think nothing more immoral than those accusations. They are not just false but they completely turn upside down the reality.
Expandable Resources Bank for a shared source-of-truth for fighting the war against the west
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/17nFbUKuXtfpCUA9JANLaoYDf8_fAH30D5W5IK_tHUZw/edit?usp=sharing This is the resource I created to help fight the media war, I mentioned it in today's group discussion - it's mostly focused on Gaza right now but has in general ideas about the fall of the west as well. It's editable so you can in theory add resources of any kind (and add different columns for Iran-related issues) to share. You can also easily filter out resources based on topic.

AMERICA UNDER ATTACK!
AMERICA UNDER ATTACK! Five Senate Democrats skipped Ted Cruz's hearing on the Muslim Brotherhood's plan to infiltrate the United States!!! On Aug. 5, Sen. Ted Cruz gaveled in “Hidden in Plain Sight: Confronting the Muslim Brotherhood Network in America.” The chairs on the Democrat side stayed empty. Sheldon Whitehouse of Rhode Island, Richard Blumenthal of Connecticut, Mazie Hirono of Hawaii, Alex Padilla of California, and Peter Welch of Vermont had already called the session a “political creepshow” meant to “scapegoat” Muslims. Cruz told the empty dais, “The American people should ask themselves why not a single member of the minority decided that a hearing on terr*orism was worth their time. It is an embarrassment.” Witnesses walked through the 1991 Explanatory Memorandum, the Brotherhood’s “civilization-jihadist process,” and the 2025 ISGAP findings on entry into schools, government, and activist groups. Cruz asked whether Brotherhood-linked networks partner with the Democratic Socialists of America. Counterterrorism analyst Kyle Shideler said yes, around “a revolutionary objective advocating for the overthrow of the U.S. Constitution.” Cruz put it this way: the Brotherhood and “DSA communists” share hatred of America, Israel, capitalism, and the Constitution. That is the map these five refused to look at. Whitehouse, the subcommittee’s ranking Democrat, signed the boycott and has joined colleagues on two-state and arms-restriction votes that CAIR treats as movement wins. Blumenthal signed the same boycott. In December 2021 he spoke at the Connecticut People’s World Committee Amistad Awards, a Communist Party USA affiliate event where the emcee invited the room to “join the Communist Party” and “create a new socialist system.” Blumenthal later said he thought it was “strictly a labor event.” “If I had known the details, I wouldn’t have gone.” Hirono signed the boycott and has been in the bloc backing Sanders-led efforts to restrict arms to Israel. Padilla signed the boycott. He has pushed the NO BAN Act against nationality-based travel limits. CAIR-SFBA staged a sit-in at his San Francisco building under “Padilla: Stop Funding Genocide.” CAIR-CA later blasted him when he would not go far enough on cutting Israel aid.

@Kelly Lyons I really don't understand all this love for islam from the leftists. What kind of charm do they find in islam? And how do they reconcile it with women and LGBT rights?... That's really a mystery to me.
A detailed view of the new Middle East
A very good view of the new Sunni axis between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey. They also want to add Egypt. This axis supposedly is help to each other if they are attacked. Plus Pakistan has full nuclear status. They will be able to help the Saudis to also go fully nuclear after Trump gives them the basic nuclear technology for home use. In addition, Turkey is part of NATO, so if they get into a war with whoever, they will ask NATO to come help them. https://www.facebook.com/share/v/19ELz7L6BU/?mibextid=wwXIfr
