"This is the strongest brief I've had from anyone, and it's not close.
While I was reading even for me it was persuasive, I could feel it, " That’s what a client told me after I submitted the first brief for them. I’m sharing the brief/script below because I genuinely want some unbiased feedback from fellow experienced creative strategists here. The script ended up being a 4 minute VSL. I was initially aiming for something under 3 minutes, but I don’t think the extra length is necessarily a problem. Is this actually as strong as the client’s feedback suggests? 3. FULL VIDEO SCRIPT HOOK That burning pain shooting down your leg? It's not your hip. It's your sciatic nerve. And with every day you ignore it, it’s like a ticking time bomb.. And most people don't find the real solution until the pain becomes permanent. SYMPTOM MIRROR It shows up when you least expect it. You sit for twenty minutes, stand up, and that same shooting pain is already running down your leg. You can't pull up your socks, because bending down hurts too much. Mornings aren't easier either. You're stiff before you've even opened your eyes, hoping today's the day it's gone. It never is. And the worst part? You didn't do anything. It just started. And every day it doesn't go away NAMING THE FEAR So here's the question you're afraid to ask yourself: what happens if this doesn't go away? Because here's what usually happens next. People wait it out, hoping it fixes itself. Then they try a chiropractor …visit after visit, and it's not cheap. But the relief never lasts. Then it's pain medication … not to fix it, just to survive the day. And years later, some are told surgery is the only option left. Not because that's the only path. But because by the time most people take it seriously, the compression's been sitting on that nerve so long, the easy fixes aren't on the table anymore. HOPE PIVOT Here's the part nobody tells you early. The chiropractor visits the pills, waiting to see if it gets better… none of it touched the actual problem. It was never going to. That doesn't mean you're out of options. You just haven't been shown the thing that actually works on the cause, not just the symptom. And the earlier you do that, the easier this is to fix.

@Nabeel Azeez I am little curious what level of creative strategists client would have worked before. Before putting on ads, its video execution matters and it is being executed.. I just wanted a feedback over script to find where I stand

@Mohammad Faizan Shared with client in Google doc with detailed creative directions. Just wanted a feeback over script here. And yes I took a limited assitance from AI as well.
Any copywriting guide here for Upwork profile?
I see many people here also struggling to win Upwork clients. I was wondering if there's any copywriting structure guide here for Upwork profile/proposal

@Waisale Naqiolevu Let me share a things here that might be helpful for someone who is just starting out. Lately, I’ve been focusing more on boosting my profile than on sending proposals. This has brought me leads at a relatively low cost—around 10–15 Connects per lead. However, these leads are not pre-qualified, so many of them may be irrelevant or low quality. Please note that this is not a new profile. I have completed 46 projects and currently have a 100% Job Success Score. In the first screenshots, you can see that I received 28 invitations. Around 18-20 of them matched my skill set and the requirements of the role. These included prospects with budget constraints, newly launched businesses, and growing companies. I was able to close 3 short-term projects. What worked for me - Sending highly relatable Loom videos that made prospects feel they had found the ideal candidate - Showing actual numbers during meetings, especially to prospects who are highly focused on performance metrics - What probably did not work - Exaggerating my communication in the name of copywriting, which is one of the reasons I need help - Losing confidence when I do not have a directly relevant case study or live performance recording to show. In those situations, I end up relying on written explanations, verbal descriptions, or a few screenshots of past performance. This also connects to the first point: when I lose confidence in the evidence, I sometimes try to compensate with stronger words - Having an outdated, unclear, or poorly organized portfolio. - Sending Loom videos that were created specifically for the client but were not focused enough on solving their actual problem or demonstrating relevant performance What I need is a more structured communication approach that helps me present my experience confidently, address objections upfront, and build trust without exaggerating. I would also like to understand where storytelling could help and where it might become unnecessary or distracting.

Finding contacts
Hi everyone! I am curious how you search for companies (bonus points for d2c) that you want to reach out to. I believe it is actually not about quantity but quality, I dont want to help grifters or dropshippers who dont care about their customers or companies that sell false hopes and dont have GOOD reviews. I want to pick good and reputable companies, not just try to catch as many fishes as possible. However I struggle with finding efficient way to research without spending hours on tiktok being fed some ugc content just to find potential brands to work with. What are your fave resources or workflow for finding companies/ceos you want to reach out to? I feel like dill pickle brand or falshe lashes brand doesent have ceos that are super active on linkedin but maybe i am wrong and should focus on linkedin!

You can go through Ad library with phrase keywords and apply some filters. You can also be niche specific there. You can through their website to analyse their quality.

@Khalid Khan Well, the creative has always been the main force for a campaign, everything else comes after that. In short, better communication with the ideal buyers simply leads to higher returns
