I am the center of the center. All flows through me 🫧
Rawl's Question Answered
You can consciously want change and still feel like something inside you hasn’t caught up yet. That’s where Sankalpa can become such a powerful part of Yoga Nidra. A Sankalpa is often translated as an intention or resolve, but it goes deeper than a typical affirmation. It is a heart-led declaration that reflects something you already know, or are beginning to recognize, as true at your core. It can sound like: ‘I am safe.’ ‘I am enough.’ ‘I trust.’ ‘I choose peace.’ ‘I allow support.’ ‘I return to myself.’ During Yoga Nidra, the mind becomes deeply receptive. Repeating your Sankalpa in this state can help reinforce new beliefs and patterns beneath the surface, especially when your conscious mind knows you want change but older subconscious conditioning is still running the show. You do not have to use an 'I am' statement. Your Sankalpa can begin with 'I am,' 'I choose,' 'I trust,' 'I allow,' 'I welcome,' or simply 'I.' The words matter less than the truth beneath them. Choose something simple. Something you can return to. Something that feels like a deeper remembering rather than a performance. @Rawl O'Neal

UPDATE: Five States of Rest | 5-Day Live Experience (Sign up Closed)
THANK YOU to everyone who signed up! This offer is now Closed. I will be reaching out to all of you with questions about your Yoga Nidra journey and to bring you into the 5-Day LIVE Experience. Most of us were taught there's one way to rest. Lie down, close your eyes, hope for the best. But there isn't one state of rest... There are five. AND the state that's out of balance for you is usually the one thing keeping you from actually feeling restored, no matter how much you sleep. I'm running a live 5-Day Experience starting Monday, August 3, where I'll guide you through a 20-minute yoga nidra practice each day — one for each of the five states of rest. Here's what each day will hold: Day 1: Safety. Settle your nervous system and remember what it feels like to be at ease in your own body. Day 2: Release the grip of holding it all together and let emotion move the way it was designed to. Day 3: Reconnect with your inner steadiness, the part of you that chooses, rather than reacts. Day 4: Soften into the deeper intelligence beneath your thinking mind and let it guide you. Day 5: Integrate all five states and feel what it's like when your whole system works together. 5 days. 5 ways to regulate. 5 states of rest. By day five, you'll know exactly which state you've been missing, and how to come back to it on your own. The details: This would normally be $497. For this round, it's free. It is LIVE ONLY... not recorded. If you can't attend live, this isn't the round for you. Spots are limited. How to join: comment the word STATES below. That's your entry. This closes Friday, July 31 at 12 PM — after that, the door shuts. Comment STATES now if you're in.

Whoopsies...
Life handed me an unexpected lesson in my own medicine this week. After yoga class, I fell riding home and broke and twisted my pinky finger. I'm now in a fairly dramatic hand brace, and I've got a specialist visit next week — fingers crossed (the ones that still bend) that we can avoid a full cast. So here's the irony I'm sitting with: I teach rest and restoration for a living, and now my body is asking me to actually practice it. I'm leaning on Yoga Nidra to help my nervous system settle, support the healing, and keep me company through the discomfort. It's humbling and kind of beautiful to be on the receiving end of the work. A practical note: Tidal Hearts Yoga Nidra won't release tonight as planned. The fall caused some technical difficulties on my end, so I'm giving it the time it needs to come out right. Thank you for your patience. If you've got a prayer or a good thought to spare, I'll happily take it. 🙏
