Failure Wednesday Celebration
it's already Wednesday here in Israel, but somewhere in the world it is still Wednesday (23:39 in California 😜). every Wednesday we celebrate failures. what is FAILURE? - something you DID, but did not get the result (sent a proposal, run an ad, launched a community) - it is the way, it is the path - it is not an anomaly! hence, something that we must normalize and actually celebrate - failure = progress towards your goal. failure = being brave to do the unknown. i'll start: - early July i decided to use Upwork to offer Skool community building services + some digital marketing consulting and coaching - i have sent 72 proposals. got 4 interviews. and 0 job. fun 🤩 - i probably gonna call it a day. i have 35 connects left. so i will use them, but no longer buy new connects. - i will keep the profile - hopefully, it will help with SEO/AIO discoverability. over to you ⬇️

Want to Raffle Some Feathers?
i am so tired of Skool... don't even get me started. so, i posted a post about reviews. with a bit of controversy. but then, they've eaten the bait. now, it's a "fun" conversation that can get me banned in Skoolers. who cares? i had posts, comments deleted. honestly, i am too tired to worry about it. so.. it is a dangerous game. that you can join 😜 if you are up for it.

@Lidia Axe So he speaks for the whole of skoolers as fact? The numbers of people RUNNING when GB was turned on shows that. And the thing is both can be true! Sam and co can care about finding their perfect customers! And people who aren't the perfect customer, and feel pissed off we had no notice of huge changes to our business have a right to feel that way, and know we will be deleted etc from skoolers!

Do What Others Won't: How to Make Your Community Unignorable
if you're copying someone else's formula, there is no way you stand out. templates are great. "what works" is great. but when your community looks like everyone else's, you compete on price. and competing on price is a race to the bottom. not the race you want to be in. John Hegarty wrote it on a Levi's ad in 1982: "when the world zigs, zag." a black sheep walking against a flock of white ones. that's the whole strategy. especially when you're starting out — focus on what other people don't do. automations save you time. i use them. but they suck the soul out of interactions. they'll save you hours and keep you dry. your goal in the beginning isn't efficiency. it's to get people to love you. to turn them into ambassadors. the famous 100-1000 true fans. the key word is FANS, not the number. you don't get fans by being optimized. you get fans by doing the crazy stuff nobody else will bother with. here's what that looks like for me: - everyone celebrates wins. i celebrate failures. - people run calls in their own time zone. i run mine to catch my APAC friends and my US/Canada friends. even if one person shows up in the Community Income Mastermind. - i send personal welcome messages, not automated ones. and when i do send an automated message, i tell you it's automated. - i offer 1:1 welcome calls in a free community. makes zero sense on a spreadsheet. makes total sense to the person on the call. - i publish my real numbers - conversion rates, retention, the maths - including the unflattering ones. - i answer questions with a recorded video when a text reply would take two minutes. because you hearing my voice is worth more than my two minutes. none of this my competitors do. that's the point. when you do what others won't or don't, you stop competing on price. you become UNIGNORABLE. you stand the f*ck out. what do you already do differently?

I don't dumb things down excessively, I don't use a 'good hook' if its click bait, I run on my credentials not on 'influencer vibes'. It seems ridiculous to me, in the era EVERYONE is saying a personal brand is the best way to go, ALMOST everyone is using AI for socials/messaging and sounding the same..... CUz if I see 1 more 'You're Not Broken' or 'How to Regulate Your Nervous System' post witht he same 3 bullet points I might just throw my phone at the wall 😂

@Lidia Axe sat down and looked at my 'content pillars' last night, completely re-did them. So think I will be standing out a bit more soon - cuz however many people do or don't see my posts, it matters to me that they are MINE, not AI's. Cuz I'm all for automating the back end stuff and saving time, but the htings people are paying for - our experience, credentials, wisdom, presence in communities- that should be done by us. In my opinion anyway.
Community Income Mastermind Is Becoming a Real Mastermind
9 spaces left as of today!!! i'm removing members from Community Income Mastermind. everyone on Skool is chasing member counts. i'm going the other way on my paid group. CIM (Community Income Mastermind) is becoming a real mastermind. here's what that actually means: - inactive members are leaving. paying or not — doesn't matter. though here's the thing that surprised me: the paying members are the active ones. paying = paying attention. - weekly accountability. that's the part that makes a mastermind a mastermind, not a content library with a chat. - more live calls. not just webinars - co-working sessions, hot seats, q&as. scheduled across time zones (catering for ppl across the globe). so it's not "live for Americans, replay for everyone else." - capped at 100 people. that's what my mental capacity can honestly manage. and i'd rather raise the price than lower the standard. here is the key part: - doors are open ONLY the last 4 days of each month. - ONLY if there's space under the 100 cap. - the rest of the month i'm delivering, not onboarding. all of this to serve my members better. and me. win-win, as always! now the numbers, because you know i show the maths: - right now: $37/month or $197/year. from 1 September: $97/month, $497/year. no negotiations! the $197 annual is basically two months at the September price. that's the whole maths on the "hefty discount." - 97 members are in CIM today. who knows how many stay after the cleanup. but after 1 September — hard cap at 100, last-4-days windows only. August is the exception: doors are open right now, at the old price, until August 31. grab it or leave it. your choice. - if you're building a community on Skool and you want people around you who actually show up — this is the easiest yes you'll get. - if you're going to join and lurk - honestly, save your $37. the free stuff here in HQ will serve you better until you're ready.

Skool News | Axe Verdict
if you missed last week issue, it was a big announcement of review. this issue was a light. still a few points to pay attention to. ⭐️ REVIEWS: - seems like reviews improve conversions. so, Skool is slowly turning them visible to visitors - average rating is around 4.8 (so, there are mainly good reviews) - surprisingly, communities with 4.8 (some bad reviews) are doing BETTER than 5.0 communities. they think it's because it's more realistic and trustworthy - FREE members, paying customers outside platform, former paying members - HARD NO, they will not be able to leave reviews. again, they believe the feature will be abused too much and loose trust. - they assembled "review team" to review the reviews 😜 to remove reviews like "how do i cancel?" and other non-review reviews. this is GOOD! - they say it will be rolled out by end of month. so, go ahead and collect those reviews. are you actively asking for reviews? any questions on reviews? ⬇️ 🌎 GLOBALISATION: - more languages: 🇳🇱 Dutch, 🇨🇳 Chinese, 🇮🇹 Italian - global fast payouts in India, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Costa Rica 🏆 Groth Boost is Boosting - they have shared few success cases (good for them) - efficiency score is still in the making. it would be fun to see it. as always, you can find this and previous Skool News in the Vault for your convenience. p.s. how many reviews have you got already?

I understand they are trying to promote quality reviews by saying it's recurring, paying members that leave them.... BUT as a bit of a cynic, I can't help but think this actually manipulates reviews even more- someone churning after a month may not have been the right fit, but they might have not got what was expected, had a bad time etc. Their opinion is worth hearing too. By saying you will only take reviews from people who are paying and staying, you are rigging it to look like every platform on here is a 5* (or very close to it) community. That to me makes the reviews lose their credibility..... and I know you said it's a change from growth boost, but again a cynical person might say if they are paying for ads to communities and becoming affiliates, strong reviews will link to/help conversions where they will make the most of the 30%......
