Scenario
A video flops on day one but keeps getting slow steady views for a month. Kill the format or double down?

I would say double down because I would assume that the title or topic or both are highly searched. What would you say?
THE DOG IN ALMOST EVERY VIDEO
River Dog goes on nearly every trip. He doesn't care about angles or thumbnails, he cares about whether there's a sandbar to run on. Some of the best moments on this channel weren't planned, they were just him doing something ridiculous while I happened to be rolling. Who or what ends up in your content whether you planned it or not?

Gunfire very often, mostly because a lot of our training happens at gun ranges so I can't control what happens in the background.
Scenario
Your last video got 40% of normal impressions in the first hour. What's the first thing you check?

Actual, no idea. What would you suggest?
I didn't start this with a plan.
We got home from a seven day cruise, my head was full of noise, and I loaded the canoe and drove straight to the Suwannee for one night just to get quiet again. That was June of last year. I brought a camera mostly to share the quiet places with whoever wanted to look. Had no idea it would turn into any of this. What's the one afternoon that actually got you started doing what you do now? Not the plan. The moment.

My journey started long ago when I determined at age 13 that if I was going to be the person to stand in the gap for another whom I loved in a critical life-threatening situation, I was not going to fail for lack of trying. I wasn't going to be the weak link in the chain or responsible for somebody else's tragedy. Things shifted for me when I was 24 and a friend prompted me to actually talk with a military recruiter and see if there wasn't a good option for me in the military. I found, to my surprise, the Air Force did take recruits straight out of boot camp and give them a guaranteed shot at selection for an instructor role. Upon graduating selection they would go through an over-year-long pipeline of military instructor and survival training and then be in charge of their survival, evasion, resistance, and escape school. I jumped on the opportunity, loved every minute of the service, and then life shifted again to where I'm at in my current business. I'm making the decision to not go for a career and put in a full 20 years but actually start a business helping people with life-saving skills, self-defense, and many of the things that my military experience and time teaching others have taught me. This has been an incredible choice for my family and I have no regrets and great joy in the incredible work that I'm blessed to partake in.
This or that
Fix your last title first, or fix your last thumbnail first?

Question for you: Do you split test titles and/or thumbnails? If so, how frequently do you check and what are your parameters for success versus just tampering with it to no end?
