🔥 New Video: Claude Code Mods Change Everything. Install These 5 NOW
Anthropic just let us mod Claude Code. A mod changes what you see and how Claude Code behaves: panes, buttons and live info right above the prompt. You don't write the code yourself. You describe what you want and Claude builds it. In this video I show five I built. All five are below for you to install. The five: Chomp: A maze game opens beside the chat once Claude has been working for 20 seconds. A line above the maze shows what Claude is doing. The game pauses when it's done. Type /chomp to open it any time. Cache Clock: One line above the prompt: minutes left before your cache goes cold, what your next message would cost if it does, your context, your five-hour and weekly limits and the session cost. Handoff makes Claude write a note so a fresh chat picks up where you left off. Command Centre: Type /centre. Press Find my prompts and it reads your recent sessions, finds the prompts you repeat most and turns them into one-press buttons. The Skills tab puts every skill and command one press away. Prompt Coach: Type /coach and your prompt. It scores it out of 10 on goal, context and done, tells you what's missing and gives you a better version to send or edit. Model Showdown: Type /versus and a question. It goes to Haiku, Sonnet and Opus at once and shows the answers side by side with time, tokens and cost. Use this one sends the answer you pick into your chat. Before you install: You need Claude Code v2.1.287 or later in the terminal, or the Code tab of the Claude Desktop app on v2.1.286 or later. Type /status to check. Mods run in VS Code, but nothing shows in its chat panel. Install in your terminal, two lines per mod: claude plugin marketplace add automatorsplus/chomp-mod claude plugin install chomp@chomp-mod claude plugin marketplace add automatorsplus/cache-clock-mod claude plugin install cache-clock@cache-clock-mod claude plugin marketplace add automatorsplus/command-centre-mod claude plugin install command-centre@command-centre-mod claude plugin marketplace add automatorsplus/prompt-coach-mod

Cache Clock is the one I'd install first. Not knowing what the next message costs after a cold cache is how a long Claude Code session quietly gets expensive.

A wave back. What are you automating right now? I would rather hear about yours. Mine is a kit an AI worker can crawl, but yours is the part I learn from.
Looking for a reliable partner to earn a stable and long term income through collaboration
Hello. I am Aaron, and I lead a five-person team based in the Philippines. We have previously generated revenue by securing projects from clients and agencies in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe through platforms such as Upwork, Freelancer, and Toptal. However, as you are likely aware, the rise of AI agents and the spread of corporate automation have caused many developers to lose their jobs and flood the freelance market, thereby shrinking the market space available to us. Consequently, our revenue has not only gradually declined over the past few years but has also become significantly more volatile. Furthermore, earnings for developers in Asia remain substantially lower than those for their counterparts in the U.S., Latin America, and Europe. There has also been a marked decrease in the number of companies and clients seeking Asian developers, as the pool of available freelancers from Europe, the U.S., and Latin America has expanded. While we could manage this disparity in the past when work was plentiful, the current situation is vastly different. Recognizing that our existing approach can no longer guarantee stable, long-term income, I have been exploring new strategies. Please see below for further details. https://docs.google.com/document/d/1LI7Pm-BTuFDtSUEJyHWh1IYstdFLmHqYvd8CvDZP4bM/edit?usp=drive_link

The real risk in pivoting a five-person delivery team is the gap between projects, not client demand. What would steady income look like for you: one long retainer, or a product the team delivers repeatedly?
🔥 New Video: I Tested Opus 5.5 vs Sonnet 5.5 on Motion Graphics
Sonnet 5.5 is half the price of Opus 5.5 per token. So is Opus worth paying more for motion graphics? I gave both models the same three prompts, one shot each at medium effort. Then I showed the films side by side as A and B before revealing which model made which and what each one cost. The three rounds: Round 1, claymation reel: A reel built from the products and characters in my claymation ads. Opus cost $2.66 and took 13m 54s. Sonnet cost $1.65 and took 19m 38s. I picked Sonnet. Round 2, SCORCH hot sauce ad: A 15-second ad that has to hook a YouTube viewer. Opus cost $5.36 and took 26m 30s. Sonnet cost $0.98 and took 13m 48s. I picked Opus. Round 3, Nimbo app launch: A launch film for an app I made up, in the style of three reference videos. Opus cost $6.89 and took 20m 41s. Sonnet cost $1.46 and took 12m 17s. I picked Sonnet. On average Opus cost $4.97 a film and Sonnet $1.36. Those are the Claude bills, read from Claude Code's own session logs. The Motion Graphics Starter Kit: Everything I use to make these is in one skill. Give it one line or a full brief with your logos and product shots. You get back a finished MP4 with music and sound effects cut to the beat, checked frame by frame before Claude calls it done. It runs on HyperFrames, HeyGen's free engine. Generated music (fal.ai) and generated scenes (Higgsfield) are optional. Without them every film is built in code, for free. Send this prompt to Claude Code **copy below this line** I'm giving you a skill called Motion Graphics Starter Kit. Get the files with: git clone https://github.com/automatorsplus/motion-graphics-starter-kit-skill Follow the README to set it up. Recommend how it would best apply to our setup in plain language, and ask me a few questions to clarify my intent before you install it.

Speed and price played against each other in every round, and quality still decided it. Sonnet was slower and cheaper on the claymation, Opus faster and pricier on the hot sauce. That is the part worth keeping.
Question for people running companies in the US.
I am an entrepreneur and a tech professional. Been working with software systems for quite a while, and one pattern comes up a lot. The first version works fine. Then customers grow, operations get bigger, and little technical problems start showing up everywhere. Too many manual steps. APIs that don’t talk properly. Slow backend. Data sitting in different places. AI added, but not really connected to the actual workflow. Usually not one huge problem. More like five small ones quietly costing time every day. For those running a company now, what’s becoming harder on the technical side as you grow?

The five small ones are usually one problem wearing five hats. No single source of truth, so every integration becomes a reconciliation job. As growth adds volume, each manual step and mismatched API multiplies not adding.
What technical skills do US companies actually need right now?
Been working with software systems for more than 10 years, mostly around backend, cloud, AI, automation, and product development. One thing I’ve learned, knowing a programming language alone usually isn’t enough. The harder part is understanding the actual business. How to automate work that’s still manual. Connect systems that don’t work well together. Build AI into real workflows. Keep the backend stable when usage grows. Deal with data scattered across different tools. These are the kinds of problems I’ve spent a lot of time working on here in Japan. But I’m curious about the US side. For people running companies in the US, what technical skills are becoming difficult to find? And what skills do you think companies will need more of over the next few years?

The scarce US skill right now is judgment about what should be automated, not the automation. The technical part is commoditized. Deciding which manual process is worth rebuilding, and w. What breaks at scale, is the part companies cannot hire for.
