Rapport Coach Beta Kickoff Follow-Up
I was able to review the summary in Otter, which Leslie sent to all participants. I was not able to see a video. I am posting this here, because I have a better understanding of those who are participating in this beta group. The issue of suicide is one that hits home deeply. It is the heart of every program we facilitate within our nonprofit. As such, I am sharing a recent leadership pitch I made regarding "Buddy Checks". I was one of 8 other nonprofits, each with their own objectives in how their specific program, if accepted by the Chamber Leadership Cohort, can implement into our city. I this proposal of which I pitched in under 15 minutes, I talk about issues our warriors are currently faced with ... It has never been implemented anywhere in the country, and I aim to change that issue. I have read the heartbreaking emails from family members who have lost a loved one to suicide. It has touched my family. One gal in our community has requested all proceeds from a funeral they are having due to suicide is that all proceeds will go directly to our nonprofit. I want to ensure we are turning that money for the better good of those whom we serve.

What’s the toughest influence room?
Hey Leaders. In lesson 1.1 I share my story of facing an elder with a cup of green tea on one side and an AK 47 rifle on his other side. That’s a tough room to enter when you are trying to influence authentically. Thanks to the Churn…that’s not unique to me…Green Beret’s or military folks. It’s universal to influence, sale, and leadership. How about you? What’s the toughest influence room you are facing. Share it in the thread below and let’s get to work!

If I had to describe the picture of which you faced, I would imagine the hardened facial expression, perhaps a stench of cold, dark, musty smell, a stiff, and gruff voice. An energy that runs like a vehicle engine stuck in second gear... The pitch: "Change can start with you!" My toughest influence room... sitting and listening to others pitch a lie.... overexaggerated numbers, etc. For our nonprofit focus, it is selling mental wellness over mental health crisis. Addressing issues which lead to suicidal ideations, by being proactive... instead of awaiting the crisis. verses heading the disaster off before it strikes. Qualifications as a certified life coach verses that of a licensed mental health professional. It involves including the family dynamic as part of the healing journey. Our scope includes military, and first responders. It involves discerning between a combat veteran and noncombat veteran, the era of which they served, deployed on nondeployed, time in service, etc. We assist with needs that avert evictions, thereby eliminating homeliness. If we do not have the funding, then I am on the phone negotiating with other nonprofits to find resources. Teamwork. It's rare when trust is so low.
One on one calls with Scott
Hey Rapport Coach Beta Members. It’s time for our one-one one calls. DM me right here in Skool before our call so we can coordinate me getting your Churn Assessment before we talk!
