I appreciate the honesty
I haven't been showing on discovery since I disabled GB. But they were lying saying that my positions just dropped. At least now they're being honest.
I appreciate the honesty
@Ettjen Jansingh I disabled growth boost. Most of my members come from organic traffic and the ones skool brought me were always spammers, and plenty of my high quality members come from clicks on my profile. With GB enabled they take a comission from that so I jumped off.
@Eugene Huliakevich Skool took a comission from a VIP member that met me from skoolers when I was testing it. While not bringing me one decent member from outside. I'm sure with the 30% they took from that single payment I could get much better results running my own traffic, even if it is like 10 dollars a month. That's why I paid for Lidia's program.
Zero Dollars, Zero Results, Zero Time Left? Perfect. Listen to me.
today is the last day to join Community Income Mastermind. doors close tomorrow when i wake up/start working (around 10am Jerusalem time). why i close doors? cause i want to give my undivided attention to those who are committed. before they do, i'm answering the three questions i get every single time. video's below if you'd rather watch. 1. "i haven't made any money yet. should i invest?" imagine you are opening a restaurant. you pay a year of rent, the design, the branding, the ads, the staff, the menu. all before one customer walks in. you invest first. you recover it after you open. "i must start earning before i start investing is the wrong premise" those are the rules of the game in real life, not in the dream land some gurus sell. 2. "i've bought programs/hired coaches before and got nothing." me too. programs with multiple zeros. zero results=cash. was it for nothing? no. i learned something. it was just expensive lessons, with a very low return. and also, i was not ready. i did not put my all. so, it is not just on them, it is on me as well. the program was not for me. the time was not right... so why is this one different? me. i care whether you get results. i limit how many people i take in. and this month i'm adding 1:1 accountability — monthly 1:1, weekly checking, and implementation calls after every workshop. i am not happy with reducing the price, get paid more, but less ppl results (10%). i want to keep the price, more ppl get results. i am moving towards the higher end - less people, better results first, but then more people, more results. 3. "can you guarantee results?" yes. if you keep showing up and doing the work. it's a two-way street. when members show up, i show up. when they need help, they get it. ask anyone in CIM. but a second guarantee: it takes 6- 12 months. hence, there's an annual plan. annual is $497. it's the commitment, and it's the one i'd pick. cause i am promising you get $5k per month. pretty good ROI.
Zero Dollars, Zero Results, Zero Time Left? Perfect. Listen to me.
@Lidia Axe I've been delaying on engaging with your paid stuff because I had to focus on getting a certification and meeting qualification deadlines at my job. I just met the target yesterday, so I have some time and mental energy free now to watch your videos.
🩺 Community Clinic 2.0. Day 2. Recap
day 2 was about engagement. and the first thing i said on the call was that i don't like the word 🙃 by the end of the day nobody had found a better one, but we all agreed on the part that matters: - engagement for the sake of engagement is busy work. - you want people talking because it moves them somewhere. - otherwise it's just gif wars with extra steps. and after yesterday's chaos, today actually went as planned and a really cool teamwork. thanks to @Paulo Costa, The Roaster for letting us pick apart how Roast & Promote gets 78% of members posting, commenting and participating. huge thanks to @Éva Raposa and @Shannon Boyer for this important and meaningful roundtable discussion that was way more honest and substantial than most paid courses on this topic. 🎥 NOW THE RECAP all recordings are in the Classroom (available to everyone till 1 October, only to Premium & VIP after that) with summaries and time codes (still think this deserves a like): - case study with Paulo - roundtable with Eva and Shannon - hot seats recording ♨️ THE HOT SEATS still i believe one of the most useful part of the clinic. and another round of applause for the brave ones: @Sandra Martinez @Vladimir Belokapov @Kate DuBois @Nikesh Amit plus @Diana Frank who jumped in with the story of a tiny spin-off that outsold her main community in 3 days. you can find links to their communities in the class. 🏆 THE PRIZES thanks to our lovely sponsor - Community Income Mastermind - community for Skool community builders ready to go from free to profitable, we have our grand prize - annual membership ($497) to be awarded to just 1 person via name lottery among all active participants.
🩺 Community Clinic 2.0. Day 2. Recap
Hey @Lidia Axe it's actually the opposite. Only 27% of members are NOT posting. 73% got out of lurking mainly because of my very human onboarding. It got up to 77% once.
@Lidia Axe no problem! @Vladimir Belokapov thank you and don't feel pressured
Vanity Metrics vs Real Progress
So when we're trying to measure our success in our online business it's very easy to get lost on vanity metrics. We may chase numbers and get high on the dopamine of seeing those points go up, but after a while we realize that we're not really reaching the goals that will make us trully fulfilled. But what are the metrics that really matter for you? Well it all depends on your goals. Metrics can point out how many people are finding you, following you, paying you, engaging with you and keep coming back to your space among other stuff. And skool gives you this emoji badges for you to keep track on your progress. For me, metrics matter because I want to build a professional portfolio and have this group as a success story. But trying to optmize my results and focusing on that may shift my focus from what really matters to stuff that will only boost my ego. Like focusing on member growth instead of going afer quality members. Or forcing engagement with gif wars and forced follow up questions instead of having genuine high quality conversations. I personally used to care about my discovery position, I got to around 250 on the money categoty at some point, but I soon realized this didn't matter unless I got the ⭐, that doen't exist anymore. And after the growth boost I just disabled my discovery and stopped caring about it as I count mostly on organic outreach. I still care about member count, because it's a portifolio success story for future clients. BUT this is not something I'm super focused at, I'm just showing up and trying to build something cool that will be worth for other people and the numbers will eventually be just an accessory to my awesome offers. What about you? What are the numbers that really matter for you?
