🙋 Your State Needs a Lead — Is It You? (Only 1 Hour a Week)
We've built benefits guides and action guides for all 50 states. Now we need one friendly person per state to help their neighbors use them. You don't need to be an expert. The guides do the heavy lifting — you just bring the heart. ❤️ Here's the whole job: 🌱 YOUR FIRST WEEK ✅ Say yes — comment "I'm in for [your state]" below ✅ Skim your state's two guides (about 20 minutes) ✅ Post a short hello: who you are and why these programs matter to you 📅 EVERY WEEK (30–60 minutes) ✅ Welcome new members from your state ✅ Share one tip from your state's guide ✅ Do the 2-Minute Action — one phone call, script provided ✅ Cheer every "Post Your Win" from your state 🗓️ ONCE A MONTH ✅ Host a Call Day — invite your state to call their senators together ✅ Drop a printed guide at one senior center, library, VFW post, or church ✅ Post what your state accomplished this month ⭐ THE GOLDEN RULES We protect programs, not parties — always nonpartisan. Never give legal or financial advice — point people to the official numbers in the guides. Be kind, be patient, and celebrate every win. 🎉 📎 Printable one-pager attached — stick it on the fridge or hand it out. 👇 Ready? Comment "I'm in for [your state]" right now. First person to claim each state gets it. Let's see how fast we can fill the map! 🗺️

@Karin Lau Welcome Karin! Hope you find your Idaho state information interesting. If you have any more details to add, please let Dr Ed know. I was surprised to learn that my state of Pennsylvania has more programs available than I ever thought. 😊

Hi Karin! Click on the classroom tab and go to the lesson named 50-State Benefits & Action Guide. From the dropdown menu select Idaho. Hope this helps 😊
Found a new program that can help our community?
Post it here! What state? Area? Who does it help? Personal experience?

Basic Systems Repair Program for Philadelphia, Pennsylvania is a wonderful program that I have used for major home repairs. The income limits are quite high for a needs based program. Here is the link https://phdcphila.org/repair/basic-systems-repair-program/ You can glean the information from the website or I can summarize it. Let me know if you want a summary.
