LSA is moving?
I read that Google is officially moving Local Services Ads into the main Google Ads platform. They’ll become a specialized Performance Max campaign with pay-per-lead goals, not a traditional PMax campaign. LSAs will still be keywordless, appear only on Search and Maps, and charge for valid leads rather than clicks. They will do away with LSA dashboard. Any thoughts?

The owners who survive every Google migration have one thing in common: customers who search for them by name. When LSA folds into PMax, the algorithm optimizes on signals, and branded search plus review velocity become the signals you actually control. Your ads account is rented land, but a name people recognize and reviews tied to a real face keep converting no matter how the platform reshuffles. So the real migration prep is not just learning PMax settings, it is making sure your market knows your name before they ever click. Happy to map this out for your business specifically. I'll drop you a DM so we can lock a time.
LSA Account needs help reviving!
Hi everyone! I'm reaching out for some help on reviving our LSA account. We used to get at least 3-4 roofing leads earlier and now we've stopped getting leads. I know it's a little late now, but is there anything that we can do to get the leads up again? Also, how long would it take for to get them up and is there an easier way? Like maybe creating a new account?

Dharana, everyone above is right about response rate and reviews, and here is the layer that protects you from the next drop. LSA is rented visibility. The algorithm can throttle you tomorrow and there is nothing you can do about it. The businesses that survive these drops are the ones with owned visibility: a name people search directly, a Google profile full of recent reviews, and content that makes them the known roofer in their area. When a homeowner sees your LSA ad and already recognizes your name from your videos or reviews, they click you instead of the competitor. So fix the account, yes. But also build the brand that makes the account optional. That is the real insurance policy. 🚨 LSA Is Moving to PMax: Protect Your Leads, Budget & Visibility
Google is making one of its biggest architectural updates to local advertising in years: Local Services Ads (LSAs) are officially migrating into Google Ads as specialized Performance Max (PMax) campaigns. Join us today, Wednesday, September 30, at 2:00 PM Eastern for an urgent, practical live session. We are breaking down where the rollout stands, how your bidding and budgets will change, and what you must export immediately before your legacy dashboard disappears. 📚 What We Are Covering Today: 1️⃣ The Migration Rollout Status - Where It Stands: Phase 1 began with select U.S. home and storefront service categories. We’ll cover who is scheduled next as the rollout expands through late 2026 and into 2027. - Pre/Post Migration Checklist: What account owners must check before and after their account transitions—including why you must export historical reporting immediately, as past performance data will not transfer to Google Ads. 2️⃣ Budget, Bidding & Reporting Structural Shifts - Budget Conversion: Weekly budgets are automatically converting to equivalent daily average budgets. - Bidding Changes: Manual bidding and vertical-level Target CPA settings are being deprecated in favor of automated bidding configurations inside Google Ads. - Control Center: Transitioning lead routing, targeting, and management settings directly into the main Google Ads interface. 3️⃣ October Booking & Calendar Guidance - Setup Verification: What eligible service businesses need to audit in their booking engine and calendar integrations right now to ensure direct lead booking flow doesn't break during the platform move. 4️⃣ Google Business Profile "Collected Info" Feature - Automated Data Gathering: How to review and audit the information Google gathers through automated conversations with your business—making sure AI agents and Google bots are conveying accurate pricing, availability, and services. 5️⃣ Reported October 1 Missed-Call Billing Changes - The Notice Breakdown: What recent advertiser notices say about billing changes for unanswered calls staying connected past 20 seconds. - Call-Handling Preparation: What still needs verification, and how to configure your intake and backup AI answering so you never pay for unhandled, missed prospects.

When the buying gets more automated, the choosing becomes more human. PMax will make every competitor's ads more efficient, which means the ads all start to look and sound the same, and the tiebreaker becomes the business the customer already recognizes. That is exactly what your content should be doing while the ads run: giving people a reason to pick you before they ever click. One practical move: record a 60 second answer to the question your prospects ask you most often, and pin it where they research you. Your reviews, your profile photos, a short owner video, that is the material the algorithm cannot generate for you. When acquisition becomes a commodity, recognition becomes the margin.
Most Local Businesses Don’t Have a Traffic Problem, They Have a Conversion Problem
Quick observation: A lot of owners focus on getting more LSA visibility or more GBP views… But the real leak usually happens in one of three places: • Slow response time to new leads• Weak or generic Google Business Profile messaging• No proper follow-up system (missed calls = missed revenue) Even small tweaks, like tightening your service descriptions or improving first-response scripts, can significantly increase booked jobs without increasing ad spend. Curious: If you’re running LSAs right now, what’s been your biggest bottleneck, ranking, lead quality, or closing rate?

Ranking gets you the call, but the fourth leak is the one most owners never fix: the stranger test. By the time someone dials, they have already decided whether you feel like a real, trustworthy business based on what they can see online. A generic GBP with stock photos converts worse than a specific one with the owner's face, real job photos, and reviews that mention the owner by name. That is why two businesses can rank side by side and one closes double. The owners who win local search treat their profile like a first impression, not a directory listing. What is the first thing a stranger learns about you from your profile right now?
