Great Chant Lab LIVE today!!!
We had a great session with our Premier members chatting and chanting the "Numbers Only" Chant. Focusing on clarity and building rhythm with just numbers was the path we ventured on today. Want to see? Join up as a Premier member and you will have access to this classroom! Not a Premier member yet? https://www.skool.com/auctioneerskool/plans

I need to join as a premium member and get myself reengaged. Live has been happening too much lately and keeping me disconnected.
International Auctioneer Championship Watch Party!
Join us for a live watch party of the International Auctioneer Championship! We'll watch each contestant together, pause to analyze techniques, discuss what works, and learn from the best in the business. Bring your questions, observations, and passion for becoming a better auctioneer. I'll have the Live Classroom open all day, interacting with you throughout the contest! I'll be Live the entire time during the finals so we can ring in the new champion!

@Robert Makosky that is awesome. If I didn't have two auctions that day already, I would join you guys as that is only about an hour away from me.

I will hopefully be able to join in while I am working today.

I competed in the WVAA competition and had the worst run as I had been sick that week. I'll probably try again sometime.
What's one habit you've had to unlearn to become a better auctioneer?
Most auctioneers think they have a chant problem. Often, they have a breathing problem. When you run out of air, you lose clarity. You lose rhythm. You lose control. But when you learn to breathe properly and "top off the tank," everything changes. Your voice has more power. Your chant becomes smoother. Your confidence grows. Don't just practice faster. Practice breathing better. The fundamentals aren't flashy, but they're what separate good auctioneers from great ones.

Biggest thing I have had to unlearn is trying to mimic someone else. I catch myself trying to duplicate whoever I am selling with or have listened to recently and it's difficult, but I am working on it weekly.
Different Styles of Chant
Have you ever had a client not let you have your normal chant? One of my three events last weekend asked me to really slow down. They said they didn't want a normal auctioneer chant. Last year, they asked me to slow down, and I did; then this year, they said I had to slow down even more. They were very happy with this speed, and we blew past last year's numbers, so that was a bonus! Here is my best attempt at a slower chant! What is a request you have had from a client?

I have had those request but I admit I don't like for someone to mess with my pace much
