Hey everyone, Two things, straight to it. First: there's no Blues Hang this Thursday. I've taken it off the calendar. Second: I've decided to close this Skool group. It shuts on Sunday 6 September. Here's why. I've spent the summer building something new. It's the biggest thing I've ever made for blues guitarists, it's built on my C.A.S. method, and it needs my full attention. I have tried to join your weekly hang the past 2 weeks and logged into the zoom that you sent and sat there looking at myself for 10-12 minutes until about 11:15AM and logged off. Any suggestions on how I can log in. Did you have the zoom hang today?

Inspired by Paul’s progress towards pentatonic noodling here’s a noodle over diatonic chords. I think this is easier than playing over a dominant blues progression because harmonies come easier? They seem to for me at least. Easier to sound melodic. Anyway keeping it fairly simple I hope, using the Em scale….E natural minor I guess…..but resolving to the G notes where needed? I recently picked up three or four new blues licks, and in this short (1:24) composition, I tried to use them all, mostly focusing on one particular lick per verse. It doesn't quite sound like a blues solo to me, it sounds more like an exercise, but I can't seem to get it to sound more interesting, and frankly I've played it so many times that it's too boring to work on anymore. Looking for feedback on any of: 1) technique that stands out as needing help 2) how to improve the composition to make it less boring 3) some alternative approaches for bars 9-12 of each verse 4) anything that strikes you as notable
