@Epi Morph "I was busy harshly judging someone at work for sabotaging a project I was working on. I was fuelled with so much anger and injustice. Narratives spinning away.." Thanks for sharing, Epi Morph. I'm getting life is the perfect training ground for this (Consciousness Work). I can certainly relate and notice the potential there for constriction (endless suffering), it might be good to discover and align to a principle and/or a series of principles beyond the self during the interaction (i.e. include-change-move-turn into etc.) I'm making the distinction of clear judgement (I'll call assessment) and alignment to the purpose of the interaction from an intuitive-feeling sense, a place of a 'gut feel' or body charge prior to emotion, narratives, morality etc. Like, I assess person xyz is this way and move, when necessary, as if turning away from a toxic smell prior to constrict->narrative. When in danger...move! (possible Ralston quote?). If unable to move, stay. Calm. What are they up to? Them them them, their agenda, their patterns. Without thinking. Maybe turning towards. Stay with the purpose of the interaction. If not on purpose, change-move. How they experience themselves and not relate them to me. Now the thought of them is like a fart in the wind. Today I felt another attempt to impose their agenda on me. They failed (i.e. I noticed my constrictive tendency, stayed open, present in the interaction and rolled with it, they went away. Again like a fart in the wind 😁 I'm noticing when the thought of 'me' exits the picture interactions become smoother. Like extending Cheng Hsin Principles beyond a martial arts context into life ('struggle'). Insight right now, if the thought of 'me' disappears, 'they' tend to disappear as well...what remains is a calm presence. More work! - > Less strain. 🙂 Thank you.
