Want to Raffle Some Feathers?
i am so tired of Skool... don't even get me started. so, i posted a post about reviews. with a bit of controversy. but then, they've eaten the bait. now, it's a "fun" conversation that can get me banned in Skoolers. who cares? i had posts, comments deleted. honestly, i am too tired to worry about it. so.. it is a dangerous game. that you can join 😜 if you are up for it.

Skool News | Axe Verdict
if you missed last week issue, it was a big announcement of review. this issue was a light. still a few points to pay attention to. ⭐️ REVIEWS: - seems like reviews improve conversions. so, Skool is slowly turning them visible to visitors - average rating is around 4.8 (so, there are mainly good reviews) - surprisingly, communities with 4.8 (some bad reviews) are doing BETTER than 5.0 communities. they think it's because it's more realistic and trustworthy - FREE members, paying customers outside platform, former paying members - HARD NO, they will not be able to leave reviews. again, they believe the feature will be abused too much and loose trust. - they assembled "review team" to review the reviews 😜 to remove reviews like "how do i cancel?" and other non-review reviews. this is GOOD! - they say it will be rolled out by end of month. so, go ahead and collect those reviews. are you actively asking for reviews? any questions on reviews? ⬇️ 🌎 GLOBALISATION: - more languages: 🇳🇱 Dutch, 🇨🇳 Chinese, 🇮🇹 Italian - global fast payouts in India, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Costa Rica 🏆 Groth Boost is Boosting - they have shared few success cases (good for them) - efficiency score is still in the making. it would be fun to see it. as always, you can find this and previous Skool News in the Vault for your convenience. p.s. how many reviews have you got already?

@Paulo Costa, The Roaster I'm not going to play their game. I'm still going to do it my way. I appreciate you talking to me.

BIG NEWS on Skool | the Axe Verdict
finally, we got something other than GB 😜 💥 BIG NEWS: Skool introduced native reviews! but please don't run deleting your profiles elsewhere, continue reading. ⚠️ UPDATE: i just realized that every community you left a review, has a link in that review, and when ppl click and join that community, i think they will be marked "Skool Network" and Skool will get 30% if GB is turned on 🤔 ℹ️ few things to note about reviews: - you can edit or delete the review that you've left. GOOD! - you can only leave 1 review per community. i can live with that - because you can edit your previous review. - your reviews are gonna be shown on your profile. so, if you are toxic and like to poo-poo on ppl, it will be visible. - owners and admins cannot leave reviews for their community - you can leave a review only after 30 days. make sense. - only paying RECURRING members can leave reviews (not free, not one-off). this sucks if your model is not MRR driven. - you can start leaving reviews and collecting reviews, but they will not be shown to NON-members. Skool wants to collect some reviews, and slowly turn them on (testing first), so that it does not damage your conversion rates. SMART! - if you offer incentives for review (courses, discounts, lollypops - Sam's words, not mine), you will get a BIG RED warning on your about page. this one is a bit shady for me... like, how would Skool know? are they checking DMs? posts inside my community? what about confidentiality? hm🤔 - more updates for this feature is coming. so, i hope they fix some of the things e.g. one-off paying members leaving a review now, the big question - should you focus on Skool reviews only now or not? thanks to Matt (founder of ProveWorth platform) who explained it very well in the video - go and check it out if you are member, if not - join his community, cause it worth it!

I plan to grow to 1k in August. Do you want to know WHY & HOW?
i am gonna use a dirty marketing tactic. i know, i know... UPDATE: we are above 100 comment. here is the event. check your eligibility. it is very easy to get there. trust me. see you there if i get 100 comments under this post 🤦🏻‍♀️, i will do a live/recording available to everyone at lvl 3+ ONLY 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ - the Hackers (check here) and explain the how and the why and answer all your questions. only 3 things to do: - comment below anything, even if you hate it - tell me - check your current level here and if you are not lvl 3, then - get there - it is simple - post, comment, watch a calendar 🤭... do the thing that you are supposed to do as a good community member... it is controversial (in my playbook) yet, i am doing it. cause nothing off limits if it helps my members to get results. cause that's the ultimate goal.

Using "Skool" in your community name: is it SAFE?
i have been working on rebrand/upgrade for this community for the last few days and was about to announce it today: the new name was supposed to be Skool HQ - the only place on Skool that helps you launch & grow a lead magnet community to first 100 members - future clients. the idea behind the upgrade/rebrand was to make it a place where Skool community builders not only start, but actually stay and keep getting value. but this morning, i saw @Carol Tice question is Skoolers about potential copyright infringement. "OMF*ck" i thought... i got really mad at Claude for not warning me 🤬 about this. emotions aside, i decided to investigate: - here is the reply from Skool's rep regarding it in Skoolers "As long as you're not pretending to be Skool and are open to changing it later if it's reported, then you're okay to use Skool in your community name." - here is what Claude said: "Good catch — and worth taking seriously. I'm not a lawyer, but building your core brand + logo as "Skool HQ" is riskier than it looks: it can imply official affiliation, and Skool (like most platforms) has brand guidelines around using their name that way. The safe pattern is to brand yourself with a non-Skool name, and use "on Skool" descriptively in the tagline (that kind of nominative use — "for people building communities on Skool" — is generally fine)." i have not made a final decision, but i am leaning towards "Community Builders HQ on Skool": - keeping the vibe of HQ - keeping the focus on Skool and community building - cleaner and safer option from legal and brand perspective CONCLUSION: - it is annoying to change everything, yet again - great that i used Claude Cowork to do the heavy duty of updating the art - and, i am glad i am doing it now, before it's too late or before everyone remembered the new name
