This coming week, Claire and I are having to step away completely. We are moving my father into new care, and right now that has to come before everything else. It is heavy. In truth, it is one of the hardest things I have ever had to face. Thank goodness I am not facing it alone. Claire has been my partner for twenty years, and I honestly do not know how I would manage without her beside me. Her love, strength and practical support are carrying me through something I never imagined having to face. For the next week, we will be offline. Our posts will pause, and The Actors Copilot Green Room will be quieter. We need to give our full attention to Dad, the move and each other. The community is not going anywhere, and neither are we. To every Actors Copilot subscriber, Green Room member, follower and supporter: thank you. Your belief in what we are building means more than you probably realise, especially during a week like this. Actors understand that life does not pause for the work. The grief, pressure, fear, love and everything we live through eventually become part of our instrument. We do not have to find meaning in it immediately, but with time, it finds its way into the truth of our work. This is one of those weeks when we have come off the bike. We need to stop, deal with what is in front of us and find our footing again. And we will. This unexpected timing also coincides with important changes behind the scenes. We are moving subscriptions onto a better platform and substantially upgrading The Actors Copilot app, so some subscribers may experience a temporary interruption. Please be assured that no one will lose any access they have paid for. Any time affected will be added back, and I will personally email every subscriber next week. A guided walkthrough for iPhone and Android — grid lines on, 1080p at 30 fps, focus and exposure locked on your face so the camera stops hunting mid-take and your eyes stay sharp. Rear camera, always. And there's an interactive map of the three-point lighting system, so you can see exactly where the key, fill and back light belong. A bit of honesty about where this came from. I learned a lot about AI while recovering from a near fatal embolism, followed straight after by another operation. I won't get into it. But when you're in that situation, you have to find something to do. I already had a passion for building support tools for actors, so I studied. I trained under the world renowned AI Advantage Bootcamp with Tony Robbins and Dean Graziosi, and I now know quite a bit more about this than the average generic user. And still, this little tool is amateur compared to what our brilliant Brazilian development team at Arrow Digital Media has built inside The Actors Copilot app, which some of you already subscribe to. We are about a month away from properly accelerating this platform, and when we do, I'll give live demos to anyone interested. That's a learning curve for us too.
