IT'S BACK! Mastering Intensive starts Oct 6th
After popular demand, we are running another cohort of our Mastering Intensive program, which is by far our most popular 6-week intensive. Time and again, self-recording artists tell us that they struggle to get their music to sound as good as it does in their head. They have an idea of how they want their music to sound, but have no idea how to actually get there, and are left guessing. That’s why we created a 6-week mentorship program that focuses on ONE key discipline that will transforms your entire outlook. That discipline is mastering, and by providing you with an understanding of the mastering process, we equip you with the language to translate your vision into reality, master your own music, and get clear on what you're actually aiming for. We’re running another cohort of Mastering Intensive, starting October 6th. Click below to learn more about the program, and discover how learning mastering can make you a better artist, producer and engineer. 👉 Learn more: https://courses.mastering.com/product/mastering-intensive?utm_source=MemberSkool 🚨 PREMIUM MEMBERS: As a member you can get 60% off. DAW?
In the Classroom I know they are using Logic, but I need help with FL Studio every class I have gone into is every DAW all except FL. I hate to ask this but is there videos that can be Created kindly and respectfully by one of you mentors to put into the current classroom? also I know one of the mentors on here use FL but they are not a part of the VIP membership pack as I was told. Feel kinda at a loss

Hey Nath. My daughter has used FLS exclusively for the last 15 years and she loves it (I don't!). It does have some of the best tutorial content of any DAW, however. Start here: https://www.image-line.com/fl-studio-learning. If you watch it on YouTube you'll soon find YT recommending lots of FLS learning material. All DAWs are a bit of a mountain to climb to start with, but you'll get there - and @Damian Baca is the resident expert if you get stuck.
Pluginhub now for Windows!! For Mac too!
I’ve had the opportunity to beta test PluginHub for Windows, and I’m really impressed with what they’ve put together. I highly recommend it! The Windows version is now available, and it’s currently only $29. If you’ve been looking for a better way to manage your plugins, update and even store your licenses, it’s definitely worth checking out. The price goes up to $39 on October 1st. You only pay once! It is available for windows and Mac’s .http://www.pluginhubapp.com/

I picked this up - I have around 500 plugins, and it's already helped ensure they're up to date. There are quite a few it doesn't seem to know how to date, but I'm hoping it'll learn. For $36 (including UK VAT), it's reasonable value - another $12 after the rise probably makes it more debatable. However, I'm not sure what competition it has!

@Dana Bradshaw thanks Dana - I'll definitely make contact and see whether there are any adjustments I can make that'll help the program catch more of my stuff!
Suggestion for M_dot_C
I've noticed several times when "time" becomes an issue. Things get changed and people get confused as to what time a thing is going to happen in their location. Why don't you switch to 24 hour UTC time? That way everyone knows what time the event will be occurring even if they are traveling. People in fixed locations can simply learn their offset. Or they can simply type in... "What time is it in [ my city ] at 17:30 UTC 11/15/2026? Most everyone's phone, tablet, computers are tied to UTC and they will get an exact time. Aviation is all tied to UTC/Zulu. 2026-09-28T16:52:00Z Year-Month-Day(T=Time)Hour(in 24 format):Minute:Seconds(Zulu = tied directly to UTC:00:00) But again any search engine can convert normal spoken words. So "The show starts at 13:00 ( 1PM ) UCT on October 2nd" works just fine. If you live on east coast USA that's 9AM EDT 10/02. If you live in Madrid it's 15:00 ( 3PM )11/02 When a contest ends "at midnight" it's much more easily understood and can not be improperly calculated if the contest ends at 23:59 UCT 10/01/2026. It would simply eliminate all confusion even as time zones change through travel or seasonal standard vs daylight savings. Also it seems to me if you had an instructor in different time zone or a mentor call and one party or both need to quickly coordinate a time. Anyway just a thought. If it saved everyone a couple minutes on all the varied communications, videos, etc., it would seem worth it in the long run.

Having been in aviation for my entire 45 year professional life, I’m totally comfortable with UTC/Zulu time (and I’m in UK, so it’s my local time in the winter), but the Mastering.com events are always presented in the reader’s local time in the calendar. The only confusion I’ve ever seen is over the finish time of FTM competitions, and that’s mainly people asking the question before the competition rules are announced - though plenty of people still either don’t listen or don’t read the answer in chat!

@Tom Baldwin I'm sure there have been mistakes made in broadcasting the competition times, but I don't think the Calendar times could be any clearer than they already are - at the top of the Calendar page it says which timezone you're seeing (normally based on your device's settings). Unfortunately, it seems no matter how many times they give the competition deadlines during an event, people still mishear or misunderstand what's said. Perhaps if the rules and deadline were a downloadable pdf, to which a link was visible throughout the event, that might help? Giving the time in UTC would be logical in that format - though I'll bet plenty will still get it wrong!
Downloading Updated Digital Cheatsheet Binders
Can someone tell me where I can find the link to download the latest version of the Mixing & Mastering Cheat sheet binder? I've got the older version and I'm wanting the latest one. Thanks.
