Trauma don't pay rent, but runs the house
Some people spend years trying to fix everyone around them without ever checking themselves. Others call it personality when it’s actually an old wound with an excellent marketing team.😂 Fear becomes control. Rejection becomes people-pleasing. Shame becomes perfectionism. Pain becomes anger. And suddenly, we're reacting to today's situations with emotional software installed years ago. 🙄 The problem? The people standing in front of us didn't necessarily create the wounds we're asking them to pay for. Painful experiences shape our nervous system and influence our reactions. Healing starts when we stop asking only, "Why are people triggering me?" and get curious about, "What is this reaction trying to protect me from?" That's where the real work begins. Not blaming our parents forever. Not turning every ex into a psychological case study. Not collecting healing vocabulary like Pokémon cards while repeating the same patterns. Actually doing the work: Learning to pause. Understanding our triggers. Feeling what we've spent years avoiding. Setting boundaries. Asking for help when we need it. Taking responsibility for the way we treat ourselves and others. And remembering that understanding someone's wounds doesn't mean we have to volunteer as their emotional punching bag. Our past deserves compassion. Our present deserves attention. And our future deserves more than a recycled version of our pain. So, open the emotional cupboard. Check what's been stored there. Some things need healing, some need releasing, and some expired approximately three relationships ago. 😂 Heal the wound. Keep the wisdom. Stop throwing the glass. ❤️‍🩹

On Solitude…
The Unclaimed Hour On solitude, and the peace we were taught to call a problem We have a script for the unpartnered life, and it reads like a waiting room. You are between things. Someone will come. Friends ask if you're seeing anyone the way a doctor asks whether the pain has improved. Most of our stories end at the altar or the airport reunion, and the person left alone in the final frame is the one we're meant to pity. I want to question that script. Not to sneer at love, but to ask whether solitude was ever the wound we were told it was. The loneliest rooms have two people in them Anyone who has lived long enough knows a loneliness that only happens in company. You say something that matters and watch it land on nothing. You reach across the bed and touch a back that doesn't turn. The person who holds your whole history has become the one place you can't be understood. An empty house is quiet. A house with someone who has stopped listening is louder than any silence, because every unanswered sentence carries a verdict. Alone, the empty chair is just a chair. Together, it becomes evidence. What compromise costs when nobody's counting Every partnership asks for some bending. That's ordinary and often good. The trouble is how quietly bending becomes disappearing. A line you once held moves an inch. Then another. You explain away what you would have named plainly a year ago. You get very good at the arithmetic of staying, and the more you've spent, the more leaving looks like a loss you can't afford. Economists have a term for continuing because of what's already been invested. In love we use a gentler word and toast it at weddings. But loyalty to something that keeps shrinking you is not a virtue. It's a mortgage you keep paying on a house you no longer live in. Solitude cancels whole categories of negotiation. Your peace doesn't need anyone's signature. Your plans don't wait on someone else's mood. Your footing doesn't shift every time another person changes their mind about you.

This was very deep in truth. Thank you for sharing this Dana🫶🏻💫💞
It's True What They Say. Money Can't Buy Happiness.
It also can't buy good health. The stress and quest for money can certainly wreck our health, it just can't buy it....at least not yet. If someone could sell health, they would.

☀️ The Daily Spiritual Breakfast Recipe
Because enlightenment is lovely, but apparently, it doesn't happen on an empty stomach. ▶️Ingredients for one reasonably evolved human: 🥚 2 eggs, scrambled. Because some things in life need to be broken before they become something beautiful. 🍞 2 slices of bread. One for gratitude, one for the things you're still trying to forgive yourself for. 🧀 A generous slice of cheese. For emotional support. Also, cheese. ☕ A cup of black coffee (or tea). To awaken the soul, or at least convince the body that participating in society is still an option. 🍊 A glass of orange juice. Vitamin C for the body, optimism for the mind, and a little natural sunshine in a glass. ▶️Instructions: 1. Wake up and take three conscious breaths before checking your phone. Your nervous system deserves to know it's not working for a call centre. 2. Practice gratitude. Even if all you can manage is, "Thank you for coffee and for not having to deal with that person today." 3. Chew slowly. Enlightenment can wait. Choking on your toast is not a spiritual awakening. 4. Release what no longer serves you. Old grudges, unnecessary expectations, and the belief that you're going to become a completely different person by Monday. 5. Set an intention for the day. Preferably one that doesn't require everyone else to behave according to your personal development plan. ▶️Chef's spiritual wisdom: Remember, you're not here to control the universe. You're here to participate in it without making every inconvenience a sign from the cosmos. Eat your breakfast. Drink your coffee. Be kind. Laugh at yourself. And if you achieve inner peace before 9 a.m., please share the recipe. Some of us are still negotiating with our alarm clocks. 😂🙏
