Why do 1 and 2 matter? Employers check them early, sometimes before they even watch your reel.

Time zone. Can you make their calls and turn notes around the same day?
Contracts and taxes. Where you're based changes how they pay you and which paperwork applies.
Local shoots and incentives. Some productions need people in a specific region, or get tax credits for hiring locally.
Trust. "Remote, somewhere" feels vague. A real city makes you feel like a real person they can hire.

So be specific. "Montreal, Canada," not just "Canada" or "remote."
